False

Your either justified or your not

Sanctification is a process and your sanctification will never match your justification in this lifetime
Amen....and Abraham was JUSTIFIED ETERNALLY BY FAITH.....but hey.....the workers for or salvation losers must deny this truth.....it contradicts their false views

It is good to know that mr waggles (red X master) thinks his own person sanctification can meet his own personal justification (perfect righteousness)

Mr waggles must be planning on doing something only Christ ever accomplished. I wish him luck in his endeavor.
Old wags definitely has his bag-o-religious hoop jumping for salvation errors......

But, after initially being born-again
Our free-will co-operation with the Holy Spirit is critically
important during our (continuing) sanctification … as He
tries to sanctify us unto holiness, “for without holiness
no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).
So, what your saying is that God isn't a God at all because He "tries" to do things but isnt always powerful enough to get it accomplished?

I think God finishes what He begins:

Philippians 1:6
"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

Sounds pretty capable to me!

((in re: justification & santification))

And both are required for salvation!
and both are God's work in me:

these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
(Romans 8:30)
He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
(Hebrews 10:9-10)

!!!

i don't save myself - He saves me!

:D

Jesus said he will lose nothing, saves to the uttermost, keeps us by his power and the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable......

All of the above are lies if salvation can be lost or forfeit....!!!

Excellent??? It peddles a false gospel with no power to save! I would call it heretical.

Faith plus works for = a false gospel of a different kind with no power to save and all that peddle it are double cursed and all that believe it are called fools and bewitched....See Galatians, Romans, Ephesians....
Matt 25:
31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

This passage seem to suggest that righteousness was on the account of what the righteous did and the evilness on the account of what they did not do.

If you think the works are what saved them, you are sadly mistaken.....

We are unable, apart from Christ, to do works of righteousness..

" Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,"

We do works through the Spirit of the Living God, given to us - and enabling us - to do God's will through the heart change made possible through belief in Christ..

The OP is simply missing the Holy Spirit and how that fits into the story of the Christian life..

What are these 'works of righteousness' you are talking about?

According to that passage, yes; the righteous were righteous because of what they did and the evil were evil because of what they did not do.

Their works did not save them, nor do good works save anyone......

Matt 11:29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,

As much as the Lord's yoke is lighter and His command not burdensome, we still have a yoke to carry and a command to keep; they both mean the same thing and both require some effort from us. To keep the command, we have to understand it and the effort from the understanding is the works from faith.
What can not be accounted for our righteousness, is some different kinds of works. The religious works. Other people get their faith from their religious works; like abstaining from certain foods, attending certain churches e.t.c.

1 Cor 13: 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

No one can love by just wishing, we have to first understand the command, obey the command and do something about the needs of others. Without this, no one is actually saved.

Christ changes our heart when we are saved, which enables us to love.

We don't "wish", God gives of His blessings to His children in whatever measure He deems appropriate..

Ephesians 1:3
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

2 Corinthians 1:21-22
"Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
