"...Many are called but few are chosen.."

There's actually two levels to it; being called and the most important one is being chosen. IMO, being called is the part we acknowledge and believe that Jesus is Lord and the being chosen is the part we obey His command to love. It is through obeying that we become one with Him and achieve salvation.

1 John 4:
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

Matt 25:
31When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.32All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left.

34Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, 36I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’

37Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? 38When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?’

40And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me
.’

41Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

44And they too will reply, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’

45Then the King will answer, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.’

46And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life
.”

Just a misunderstanding; the bible discredits faith that originates from works but teaches works that originate from faith. The above is an example of works that originate from faith. It is a command to love one another and without loving one another, we won't see the kingdom of God.

1. eph 2, Have been saved

2. Romans 8, we were saved in this hope

3. 2 tim 1. Has saved us...not according to our works

4. Titus 3, Not by our good deeds, but by his mercy he has saved us.

Should I go to Eternal life, and prove we HAVE it also?
One can choose scriptures to support anything...by interpretation. However, common sense rejects it's true effect and meaning of intent. That is your act here.

Even your.... works .....conclusion is by biblical.

There are many NT verses about the result of habitual (unrepentant) sin,
which were written in the epistles to the churches!
I like to think that I'm wise enough to NOT ignore and/or reject all of these warnings.
The Word unrepentant sin was Never in your opening post...

Are you altering your stance now because you are facing oppositon..

You used the word habitual sin which means usual / regular..

So if you sin regularly each week, one way or the other you are a regular / habitual sinner..

I think I have been misunderstood by some! I AM saying OSAS is erroneous! Yes salvation was bought and paid for at Calvary by the precious blood of Christ GODS SON! We become born again when by faith we confess our sins, repent and accept this gift of grace(Gods unmerited favour)! However we can fall from grace turn back into a world of sin and be losers of the kingdom of heaven! Eternal life is ONLY guaranteed if we abide in HIM! It is NOT b/ c you are a member of a denomination, nor that you can quote scriptures, not b/c you are a missionary, pastor, preacher, teacher, scholor, theologian,or that you labour in His fields! I do however believe we are to be workers for the kingdom! I have said many times " the fruit of a Christian is bearing another christian" We bear fruit AFTER our kind. The key to holding onto the gift of salvation that God provided is to ABIDE! This I believe means that if at anytime we STOP ABIDING,we are lost! I do not know who taught ppl this heresy OSAS but I do know that at the separating time of wheat and tares, sheep from goats many will be surprised at which side they find themselves on! The whole bible must be rightly divided and studied under the leadership of our guide the Holy Spirit! Now there can be NO doubt as to my belief in salvation!🙏🙏🙏

Galatians is mostly about Jewish Christians wanting to ADD to what Jesus has already
done for them ... by going back and performing some of the old works of the Jewish Law.
Paul says in Galatians 5 that because of them doing this ...
they have been estranged from Christ and have fallen from grace!
Here again ... so much for OSAS.
I’m not interested in debating OSAS. I appreciate your reply, but I think you have dodged the specific question. You advocate ‘obedience’... to what, exactly?

NOR is he who does NOT love his brothers and sisters.”

Obedience to Jesus' commandments.
However, contrary to what the NT states ...
perfect obedience is not required for salvation, IMO.
WOW! ... Really?

Jesus said 4 times in John 14 (paraphrased) ...
"Those who love Me will obey My commandments."

Who gets into heaven who doesn't love Jesus?
Lots of people here, I guess!

But IMO, it's all about the condition of one's heart.
IMO, trying to the best of one's ability will cut it.
Enduring faith, obeying, repenting, practicing righteous.
No heaven without such as these!

"... you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,
whether (slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death,
OR (slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness?
... so now present your members as
slaves of righteousness for holiness." (
Romans 6:16, 19)
Don’t ignore "servants of obedience unto righteousness" (Romans 6:16) and simply stress “obedience leading to or unto righteousness" as if works of obedience that follow saving faith in Christ are “unto righteousness,” as if we are saved by works. Unbelievers are not slaves of obedience unto righteousness no matter how much so called obedience that they attempt to conjure up through the flesh in a vain effort to obtain salvation based on the merits of their works.

There is a contrast here between servants/slaves. There are only two kinds of servants/slaves in this world, in the spiritual sense; servants/slaves of sin unto death, or servants/slaves of obedience unto righteousness. *When we place our faith exclusively in Christ for salvation/believe the gospel by trusting in His finished work of redemption as the all sufficient means of our salvation, we then become "servants of obedience unto righteousness."

Being slaves of sin is put in the past tense. Paul goes on in Romans 6:18 - "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness."

Notice in Romans 10:10 - For with the heart one believes unto righteousness..

Notice in Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith (not his works) is accounted for righteousness.

Sadly, this passage has you written all over it!
Matthew 7:21-23 New International Version (NIV)
True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did WE not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I NEVER knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

True, the works of righteousness is love others and loving others is not in thoughts but deeds.

Then there is no salvation.
Even Peter denied him and at some point had to be corrected by Paul. If this man of great love and sacrifice for Christ can fail, we are doomed.

I'm just going to keep my hope in his great and wonderful mercy and Grace. Because even though I don't want to sometimes I fail, and even when I do good I see failure is right there with me in the form of pride or thinking myself justified by the good thing. Even in my best Great Grace is required because I fail.
