I realize I need to repeat some things for those who haven't read this or other threads I have shared.

God repeats the word pisteuo 248 times in the NT. The words believe, believer, and believing, are mistranslations. Complete pisteuo, is a specific act, based upon a specific belief, sustained by a specific kind of confidence. Pisteuo in the Vines Greek dictionary, " A personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth."

I was taught, when God repeats Himself, pay extra attention!
Personally from what little I have read and encountered you I love your translation, but to argue I'd say that is still in my fair awesome tongue of English still compliant to the word believer, believing.

Either way though I like your greek word knowledge, you're very smart praise Jesus for your gift with languages.

Rom. 8:9 tells us if we aren't in Him and His Spirit is not in us, we are none of His.

So how can we claim Christ as our Lord and savior first, before we receive His Spirit?

And when we are in the state of not have been given the Spirit of Christ yet, Christ is not ours, this means His word and the promises in His word are not ours yet either.

So how do we receive the Spirit of Christ " first," without making illegitimate claims on Christ, His word, and promises?
The world can claim Christ as Savior.
But, not yours until He is accepted along with righteous requirements for living.

Thank you for the Pat on the back, but I'm not a linguist, or smart with languages. I'm a retired, disabled, Master Mason with a high school diploma.

I've just been blessed to unknowingly fulfill what I've been talking about. At the same time, God put into the surrendered life possibly the greatest Bible teacher in the last 400 years. He is the one who taught me, alot of what I'm able to share. The born again salvation process must happen first, then the word of God becomes like a mirror that reflects the things He's doing in the surrendered life. My experience validates his teaching, and his teaching validates my experience. That's been going on for over 30 years. He is the only Scriptural gifted teacher I've ever known. And sorry, but no I won't give his name.

I hope that something I've said fuels your desire to know Him better.

Uh oh not the masons, they are that hilarious philosophy cult of old men that got infected with them 1700s AD Sadducee enlightenment ideals cause they got to go back and read the epic white history of the pagan romans and greeks! I have a copy of their volume of the sacred law which they gave to some black man that thoroughly abused and degraded it whom then gave it to my friend who the masons trying to recruit, but whom is more a liberal hippy type that wants to be a beekeeper and so gave it to me as he begins his shunning of wicked society. In my opinion and researches of the Masons, their people and their material and rituals and philosophy and ungodly oaths, just lol at how they are a dying cult and sold out their rule of only society's "best men" to the drug dealers and foreigners who use their club as a front to escape and evade the law and true judgements. You're a nice fellow, but if I were you, or frankly just me being me, I'd repent of the masons and tear their pagan symbols down and praise Jesus.

Just to clarify, I'm a brick layer! A master of my trade. Not a member of the Masonic order.

Oh well excellent, you can help build the Wall and teach your Murican sons the way of the manly work with the hands as Paul spake of and do honest work and big business building our Wall to help protect us in the inevitable wars and destructions coming to somewhat help our pathetic and worthless generations and the few that are enduring to the praise of Jesus.

Praise Jesus then for there are still good elders, it is the last of the good in this land that is degenerating and being conquered by Babylon. For a father to leave as inheritance in the Lord to his sons the homeland of our promise and Sacred Honor, praise Jesus.

Works salvation.
A better way of saying this is, Salvation is work! The Greek doesn't allow work and effort to be separated from pisteuo or saving Faith. This is not work or effort that replaces, adds to, or joins with any part of what Christ finished and completed on the cross, Grace!

Only the mistranslated words believe, believer, and believing demand work and effort be separated. It's collateral damage from the mistranslation.

What about those ones who didn't or don't have " the scriptures"?
I don't know. I couldn't imagine it.

I suppose God would use whatever would work. And I'm sure He could get scripture into the hands of those He wants to.

He had to start with some without Scripture. And in doing that created scripture, or a record for history.

Let's not forget His present ministry that is not without power:

"1 Now the point of the things being spoken of is that we have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a minister in the holy places and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord has pitched, not man."

What about "those that believe" (in Lord Jesus) of verse 22? Good citation though for sure! Good stuff to read, praise Jesus.
I believe faith is a gift, at least it comes through hearing God's Word and there is no merit in it...

Ephesians 2:8 NASBS
[8] For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Romans 10:14,17 NASBS
[14] How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? [17] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
