Love is always the answer if you are struggling with any problem, no matter what the problem is. His love is so much deeper than most Christians realize. Instead of focusing on your problem, focus on His love and all else will fall into place ❤️
Welcome and Blessings!🙏🙏🙏

One of the biggest reasons Christians wrestle with addictions, lust, pornography, workaholism, etc. is because they do not understand and live in light of the Father's love.
Indeed...

Hello Blake, I see you recently joined us here at Christian Chat. I did not see an intro thread for you in the New Members Forum. You might want to start a thread there to get welcomed. Anyway, welcome to CC. I hope you'll enjoy your stay here.

Proverbs 17:9
Whoever conceals an offense promotes love,
but he who brings it up separates friends.

Years ago when I was working in a (Christian) day care, there was one boy who was in some sort of trouble EVERYDAY. I mean he became the source of conversation among the staff when there was nothing else to talk about.......
One day I read this verse, and it was like a rock hit between the eyes!
I thought "love conceals offenses!" In other words......
when he does something that is unacceptable, deal with it and move on. Unless it is something that hurts others and has to be made known for reports, then just DROP IT. (Stop yapping about it with everyone)......
I shared this with a few of the other staff. It's amazing how quickly a little insight can change the situation. The child never stopped the (mis)behaviors, but our ways of dealing with him changed and that helped A LOT.

Now years later, married with my own children, this verse often comes to mind......
As a wife, I question what good will it do to point out hubbies flaws to others? Especially if it is in a tone of "can you believe what he did to me!!!!!"
As mom, same principal, only with the kiddos it is more like: they messed up and it was dealt with.... what good comes from discussing over and over again just because it was annoying?

Anyway, just some of my food for thought.

My grandmother was this way, she would harp at kids insisting they couldn't do anything right. Well, after a while of listening to that we didn't want to do anything right around her. :(

God loves us! Let us love one another, too!
Share your love for God and each other on this thread.
Post inspirational, scriptures, pictures, gifs that reflect God's Love for us, our love for Him and love for all people.
God says "We love him, because he first loved us." --1 John 4:19 KJV

I said "God, that explains the areas where we DO love you, but what about the areas where we FAIL to love you? Why do we fail to love you in those areas" He said (paraphrased) "In those areas you do not yet see (grasp, comprehend) my love."

As a way to overcome this we can pray "God, teach us to love you that we might keep your commandments" which basically asks him to "love on us"(show us his love in a way that we can grasp and know is personal to us) which causes in us a desire to reflect that love to him in accordance with 1 John 4:19.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby

Laufftur, thanks again for this place...

This thread shows that God's presence and His precious love are everywhere, alive and well online and off. I am so honored to be amongst His people.

Your hospitality is such a blessing.

Thank You Lord for Her and all the family you have given us. .

The pic with the words that said excuse me, I'm just thinking about how much God loves us is so cute and touched my heart.

Some threads should never die and this is one of them.

Lafftur,

This is a great thread.

Lots of great responses that reveal the truth of Gods love for us.

It's great for those who get it. Like you and many others.

Not wishing to detract from this thread.
But there are many in Christ who do not get it.

How do you and others on here approach that?

As I said not wishing to detract from this thread.

I started a thread "Do you know that God loves you as much as he loves Jesus?

Can't remember if it was in this forum or another.

But it did not get pass 2 pages.

It breaks my heart that people do not know this.
But it breaks my heart they can acknowledge they do as if they know it.
Yet they do not know it.

How do we overcome this?

Maybe another thread.

As I said not wishing to detract from this thread.
Trying to find your thread, titled "Do you know that God loves you as much as he loves Jesus?

I would be interested to read it.

God Bless you and your Ministry, brother.

I wrote the following poem in 1988 (unsaved), asking that same question :)

I'm so confused
What did I do?
The Bible says I'm evil.
Have I lived most of my life
In the grips of the devil?

Why was this?
I think I know:
Insecurity had me in it's throes.
Love I was afraid to show
And so I lived in darkness.

But what is evil?
Self esteem?
Following your heart-felt dreams?

Surely God on glorious high
Takes no delight to see me cry.

His love for me I must believe
Because of Him we were conceived;
Love is where I long to be
And so live in His likeness.

But what is love?
Does anyone know
Just what it is
We're supposed to show?

What kind?
How much?
Where does it go?
Who determines our love's flow?

Are we really in control
When sitting at the wheel?
For reason still eludes me
When I think on how I feel.

Are we the same?
Are we to blame?
What forces shape our lives?

Science looks for answers
While our spirits we deprive.
Very,very nice.

Well they cant do anything about it but maybe can give you strategies to deal with it. (Your husband) mostly it involves changing yourself before your husband and not being bothered so much because all men have flaws lets face it nobodys perfect.
I think it means that you dont bring up peoples mistakes in front of them all the time, my mum does that to me and thats why I dont like to be around her. She cant let things go and is like a dog with a bone.

The thing is maybe when you cant deal with someone, and they annoy you, you need to ask God for more patience and grace. We all do things that might annoy someobody else (for some people, even breathing is annoying to them) . Just think how Jesus had to deal with all the sin of all mankind well he didnt have a list and start reading us the riot act. He basically went and paid for it with his own blood and didnt accuse us of anything cos he knew we were only human.
