Who was the very first person commissioned by Christ to preach?
Answer: Mark 5

"As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany Him. And He did not let him, but He said to him, “Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.” And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed."
That's a good one, @cv5! Ask another one!(y)

Did the disciples ever receive the Holy Spirit by Yeshua/Jesus breathing on them after His resurrection but, before Pentecost?

IMO probably not. Perhaps a symbolic gesture?

Actually, Yeshua/Jesus DID breathe on them and say, “Receive the Holy Spirit BEFORE Pentecost....

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
John 20:21-22 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 20:21-22&version=KJV

I think Yeshua/Jesus was “sealing” them with the Holy Spirit but, the “baptism” with the Holy Spirit would be later at Pentecost.

Solomon wrote how many songs and proverbs?
Okay, I'm going to make a guess here.........

We know there are 31 chapters of Proverbs but, that doesn't mean that's how many proverbs.......hmmmm.... and the Song of Solomon has 8 chapters but, is probably just 1 song.......

Okay, okay. My answer is:

1 song and many proverbs. lol! :giggle:

I could say 31 proverbs but, that is probably not correct.....

Okay, okay. I give up. Great question!

Anybody know the answer? If not, CharliRenee, tell us! :giggle::love:(y)

The answer is in kings...

Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was known in all the surrounding nations. He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005.

To believe is the work of the Holy Spirit working in us to both will and do his good pleasure. Believing is to be sealed.

We are given a new faith not of our own selves. If he has begun the good work of salvation he will work in us to finish it to the very end.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God John 3:18

No limbo in between .Any man that has not the faith of Christ needed to believe God are simply not of Christ.

Christ breathed on Adam it gave life to the lifeless clay he was formed with.

Breathing on them is a metaphor used in that parable . Like with all parables the proper tools for rightly dividing must be used or the unseen spiritual understanding will simply pass on by.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

I disagree. Saying Yeshua/Jesus was breathing on His disciples and saying. “Receive the Holy Spirit” was simply a symbolic act or metaphor tells me you are trying to explain it away by making little of what He did.

We know the Baptism and Fire did not happen until Pentecost so, what’s left?

Being “sealed with the Holy Spirit.”

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:13-14 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Ephesians 1:13-14&version=KJV

Yeshua/Jesus sealed His disciples.

Did send two of a kind or two of a species onto the ark?

Bone for fun do you know the difference it makes to the Authority of Scripture?

Yeshua/Jesus sealed His disciples.
Well, I shared my experience in my "Coming to Jesus" blogs. From the time I surrendered my will to God in that Motel room, I believe I had the Holy Spirit. I did not realize that at the time, so I asked God to let me speak in tongues. He said okay but I had to do it His way. Once I got the baptism right. I was speaking in tongues. So, did I then get more of the HS? I am not sure, but does it really matter? As long as I have that Spirit of Truth, I am His.

Hello Jacob,

I like that you are asking a question for us but, I’m not sure I understand what you are asking......

What do you mean by two of a kind and two of a species?

Noah took two of every kind of unclean animal (probably male and female) and seven of every kind of clean animal.

I do not understand your “bonus” question.

It is two different things... Two of a kind... which is the answer... Is like 2 dogs... and can bread different species from two different kind... .

I guess this was a "trick" question... I'm sorry, you have to have a science background....

But we can have a "1000" different dog species,(more) today, with only two of a kind.... This matters theology if could Noah really take two of a kind on the ark and we have all the animals we have today/ past....

Interesting thoughts Jacob, but they are just theories. It doesn't make sense that Noah had two of every different type of dog, but whether he only had two in total is just a guess - we are simply not given that detail. So it's hard to put that as a bible trivia question.

Good question. I'm fairly certain these were the sub-tribes (maybe of Aaron, but definitely Levites) that had duties to carry the different portions of the tabernacle whenever it was on the move. So building the temple put them all permanently out of a job. :)

He was not allowed into the promised land because he struck the rock twice at Mirabah and failed to give the glory to God for the water from the rock. From Wikipedia:

One possible reason for the punishment is that Moses had struck the rock twice, rather than just speaking to it as he had been told to do;[19][full citation needed] another possibility is that he had rashly addressed the Israelites by the phrase you rebels.[19][full citation needed] Yet another reason may be that Moses attributes the miracle to his own power and fails to mention the Lord.

I believe the last sentence make the most sense after reading the account.
