What do you think it means.
And how would you practice it. Say you won first division in lotto or you sold up and just had all this money that you didnt know what to do with. Who would you give it to, or what would you do with it after you gave it to your family and still had heaps left over.

The rule is you cant keep it in the bank and you cant bury it.

Im gonna set the bar high and say youve got a billion dollars.

I think I'd invest some. I would pick 20 charities and 20 missions and give one million to them all.

I'd probably help 20 ppl start a business. I might even start a nonprofit, helping the needy and victims learn to stand on their own. I'd love to help orphanages.

It would be soooo fun to go around helping ppl with things, but do it all anonymously. How thrilling it would be, probably would make it a hobby.

I would live simply still but travel more and do things like bathe an elephant, zip line in a tropical forrest, volunteer all over the place. I would get more massage therapy, like once a week. I would plan several family reunions and have them in cool places and provide travel and accommodations. I'd do lots for my family and friends but you already said, after you help your family...

Wow, it has been fun dreaming, lol.

Hmm I would do it anonymously too. Theres a trust that has a million dollar mission and each year they give a million dollars away to all these charities that apply for it but they have to get people voting for them so they know how much to allocate to each. So theres about 20 or so different ones in my local region and they range from schools to sports to housing to medicine etc. they all say what they would use the money for.

The trust obtains its money by pokie machines and liquor profits though.

My first thought of charity to support would be libraries esp in schools.
Anything to improve literacy.

I think I would also choose gardening projects too. Ones that also put food on the table.
Imagine if you could pay the rent or rates for your entire street for a year. What a difference that would make to peoples lives?

Something else came to mind, a billion dollars could subsidise dental care for everyone not just under 18s. Its so expensive to go to the dentist, thats its unaffordable for many people.

Share what you can when you can and help people whenever you can. Don’t wait till you win the lottery because you can share far more valuable things than money.
