I have learned some people will do almost anything to make themselves feel more intelligent, more correct or just better than somebody else.

I have also learned that it doesn't matter how you feel. All that matters is that I prove I'm right and you're wrong. Or something like that. Man I hate it when BDF leaks into the nice forums.

"Wait... aren't you using the same tactic to make yourself seem superior to me?"

"Sorry, that trick expires after one use per conversation."

I've learned not to venture out of the singles forum.

Along with that I've learned that there are some "Christians" that explain negative opinions of Christians.

I've learned to quit beating my head against the wall with people who can't hold a good discussion and don't really care about the topic being discussed as much as how they appear to everyone else.

And I hope I've learned not to ridicule others in order to gain popularity points.

I've learned that most issues have way more nuances and complexities than politicians and journalists would have us believe.

And I've also met a few really awesome people who've been a great support and encouragement by being part of my otherwise alone life.

different in other parts of the world.

Also that some parts of the world don’t know how to spell colour
properly! Hahaha
In my country it is Colour also.. But the spell checkers are all set on US English.. It is a conspiracy i tells ya  :giggle:

*SIDE NOTES*

My husband wonders why my spelling is bad.......
I'm a military kid.......
we lived in different parts of the world while learning this stuff

We also dropped the "u" out of neighbor. We have to remember to put it back in to search in KJV. View attachment 205320
NO.......
Mr. Rogers says it like this "NEIGHBOR"

And HE wouldn't mislead children now right?

But to get back on track here:
Another thing I have learned on CC is that no matter what time of day it is (wherever you are in the world), there is always someone here waiting to engage in conversation, encourage you or make you laugh. And if it's a rare time that not much is going on, well at least you can leave your comment and someone will get back to you,and sometimes, when life stinks, simply just typing it out helps.

And speaking of RoboOP and RoboCop.........
I've also learned that maybe I'm spending to much time here on CC ( NAAAAA) when someone (here in real time, real life off the computer) says something about the movie RoboCop and I start thinking
"I wonder how RoboOP is today".....

I learnt the Earth is flat and Columbus sailed off the edge! 🤣🤣

They have tried to teach me the earth is flat but I'm not quite in believing mode yet not just there.... As if the earth were flat cats would have knocked everything off it by now....

I learned how to make people feel guilty about anything, no matter how mundane, trivial or innocuous the topic. If it's food I can call you a glutton. if it's something you like I can point out there are people who don't have it. If it's something you hate I can point out how it is actually a good thing, or how much worse other people's lives are, or both!

Nope, not a bit. I feel all self-righteous and vindicated and proven correct and all that good stuff. That's the whole point!

I have learned that there are some very kind people here that I care for and that care for me as well. Friends come in all ages, shapes and sizes.
