Ya know what? You only "persevere" to the very end IF you don't commit suicide. The way I see it, we have to live our life up to the end, when GOD calls us home.. That's MY understanding of the word persevere.
I'd love to die very soon, but I can't, unless I off myself or get murdered. Because I can't give up on pushing through (or persevering, as you call it), just because I'm tired of living and long for my new pain-free eternal body.

But they harp on this one word and it occurs about 13 times... and grace occurs 131 times

No one is saying otherwise. We are supposed to be obedient to God, to the best of our mortal abilities. BUT even when we disobey, we ARE STILL SAVED, and we DO STILL LOVE Jesus..
