What songs/hymns choke you up?

I think its a function of my age, but lately I find myself tearing up during certain of the songs and hymns we sing during worship. Today 'How Great Thou Art' was one and that one always gets me, we sang it during my Dad's memorial service. When my mother passed in 2006 I found myself often listening to an Anne Murray CD in my car, and the song "Softly and Tenderly" would have the tears streaming. It was about this time I began my slow journey back to faith, a faith I'd turned by back on some 20 or so years earlier.

Today another song during worship was "What a Wonderful Name", one I've listened to many times on the radio and on youtube....I find myself choking up so much lately, especially when the music speaks to Jesus' ultimate sacrifice.

Today I got choked up while singing, because the congregation stood up without prompting while singing the chorus of "We are Standing on Holy Ground." 💓

I started attending a new church just over a year ago, and I heard this song for the first time....and it did choke me up. He became sin, that knew no sin, so that He could become my righteousness, He humbled Himself and carried the cross, love so amazing , love so amazing....

"Lacrimosa" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gets me everytime. Lacrimosa, for those who don't know, means 'tears' or 'crying/sobbing' apparently.
The singing is just so wonderful, though the version from YouTube below is a wee bit slower than normal:

Luv this one too by Janet Jackson and Nelly - Call on Me:
I read somewhere that it was written to remind us all to call on God when we need it. (For those of you who don't know, Janet was raised as a Jehovah's Witness). It also reminds me to 'call on friends' when I need it, or to call/contact friends to see how they are doing.

When I hear this and/or read the words, I feel like crawling under the ground. The lengths my Father went to save me, when I was in rebellion, when I did not love Him. Yet, He was the One who hunted me down, bound me with the bands of love, and saved this wandering one.

Last night I dreamed
I took a walk
Up Calvary's lonely hill
The things I saw
With my own eyes

This is from my home country of wee bonny Scotland. The bagpipes in this always make me cry:

The 2006 movie 'Amazing Grace' starring Ioan Gruffud & Benedict Cumberbatch is incredible too - a must see. It documents the fight against the British slave trade, which of course, became the International Slave Trade (still going on today in many countries).

For those of you who don't know, 'Amazing Grace' was written by an Anglican clergyman, John Newton, who (amongst other things), was involved for many years in the slave trade and profited from it. He eventually renounced all of it and his wealth, and spent years in a convent apparently, condemning himself and could never forgive himself for the suffering he had caused his fellow human beings. I think in the movie he was portrayed as committing suicide, though Wikipedia states differently.
