KJV WPM typing test

Well, I found a website probably back in July or August where you could pick any book and just start typing indefinitely for a "words per minute" typing test.

Good to practice typing and also good to do something interactive with scripture other than just reading.


I also found it pretty fun to sharpen my mind instead of going for a "high WPM" to just sort of turn my typing on auto pilot and focus on reading comprehension. An exercise in multi-tasking essentially.



So. I haven't done it in quite a while obviously but I had a desire to do so, as I am pretty bored. I looked through my history but it only goes back a few months and it's not there :(

I've spent like 10ish minutes thinking of all the keywords I used to find it and I only found one site that has a selection of verses and practices but nothing comprehensive. If someone can find this for me I'd be pretty grateful.


Also just throwing it out there as a cool option if you want to practice typing and "read/type" scripture.

Hi Mii. If you were typing on your computer, it saves a history of the websites you have looked up.
On mine, this is how you find the history using Google Chrome.
Look at the top right hand of your computer screen, below the 'X'. There should be three dots in vertical line. If you click on that, it will give you of options, such as New Tab, New Window etc. Scroll down to history and click on this. This will give you a history of the websites you have looked at, but only for a certain period of time.
If you do 'Control J' (ctrl J), that will bring up a longer history of websites you've looked up.
Mobiles are all different but you can usually find your history by going to something like Settings, then it will have a sub settings folder like Downloads, or something similar. This will give you a history of all the downloads you have made.
If all else fails, take it to a computer shop & they will find it for you, usually for free or for a small fee.
See if that helps :)
PS: Once you've found the page, book mark it, and also file it away on a USB for future reference.

Well I deleted history past 3 month mark...so will it show up past that point with "control j?" all I see is a list of programs :(

Go to a computer shop and see them. The history of on a computer as far as I know is always there.
They should be able to find it for you :)

I'm just surprised...I am usually able to find stuff that "doesn't want to be found" @tasha66

I'll keep looking but it was a cool method of memorizing and working my way through scripture that I feel other people could benefit from. I'll post if I find it.

If it got taken down, I'm going to be sad. Might actually be motivated to make a site dedicated to it (since it is open source) :)

contact the KJV site and ask them - they might have a link they can email to you.

I tried Cmd prompt...In order to recover and without 3rd party idk how to see.

But I'll keep looking through search results and type up a storm.


Ty @tasha66 and @Ghoti2 Seems like a good thing to put out there. I know I've done it, and I liked it a lot and was surprised it was a thing, and then (now it seems) it is not a thing. So...yeah.

I'll try to find it. No it was just through google search and WPM typing tests but it appears to be gone, even barring a myriad of keyword searches.
