16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

It is clear then that man is to rule the woman, biblical teaching, but he must rule in love, preferring
his wife to his self.

I know it's hard for the westeren man and woman to accept this, in time the Bible will be banned
by the West, it will become hidden book. It attacks the Jewish religion, homosexuality, abortion
and evil. But man wishes to continue in sin.

Do you realise that even debate is listed as a sin by Paul the apostle to the Gentiles.

If we discuss here in an aggressive manner, revile each other, call others fools we are sinning.
Something about family life:

Genesis 2:18 - And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Ephesians 5:28 - So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Proverbs 18:22 - [Whoso] findeth a wife findeth a good [thing], and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Genesis 2:20 - And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

1 Corinthians 12:25 - That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

The word rule would be to lord over. The word helpmeet can mean savoir like when applied to Deborah, a judge that prophesied by declaring the word of God. or Rehab a savior moved by the Spirit of Christ. .

helpmeet. One meaning is literally "a helper like himself. two working together as one in perfect harmony and submission to finish one work .

Loving Authority + willing Submission = Peace and blessing .

The form of the government of God. Spoken of in Genesis 3:15

The father who poured out the cup of wrath bruised the Son, as head of the bride the church. . bruising suffering his own heel. You could say sharing the pain of being misunderstood. And therefore giving us his loving understanding.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul (one spirit, one faith as a work) ) an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Isaiah 53 4-10

Two working as one. Again one faith.

The number metaphor "two" is used to represent one. The Church as the likeness of God. . the image we are created in.. It was first established in the God head before the foundation of the world.

For man was not made from woman, but woman from man.
Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
(1 Corinthians 11:8-9)

read Genesis 2 again.
the Spirit who breathed 1 Corinthians 11 correctly interprets Genesis 2; it is the same Spirit who breathed it also.
if we're not completely aligned with that, it's impossible we have the right interpretation of Genesis 2. if we don't have the right interpretation of Genesis 2, we don't have the right interpretation of Genesis 3, and we can't even begin to approach the question of the OP without error.
I did read Genesis 2. Perhaps you should.

Eve wasn't made from any part of Adam but that which is in his middle; the rib. God said in the beginning, chapter 1, that the first people made in His image and likeness , shall rule over all that walks, crawls, swims, flies. He did not command the man rule over the woman.
24. “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh” The Book of Genesis chapter2

The Book of Genesis chapter 1:26-28 26Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

The Book of Genesis chapter 2
The Seventh Day, God Rests
2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
The Creation of Man and Woman
4 These are the generations
of the heavens and the earth when they were created,
in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

5 When no bush of the field[a] was yet in the land[b] and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, 6 and a mist[c] was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground— 7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. 8 And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there. 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush. 14 And the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat[d] of it you shall surely die.”

18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for[e] him.” 19 Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed[f] every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam[g] there was not found a helper fit for him. 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made[h] into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was taken out of Man.”[i]

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

Satan is spirit who goes about like a roaring lion in opposition to the Holy Spirit.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Sam 16:14: But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Lk 22:3: Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot.

When Jesus enters in, Satan flees away
Where does it say that in scripture? Not by a readers inference, but by the words of God.
If Satan can enter and cause Jesus to flee, that would make God's adversary stronger than God.

That is wrong. When God created mankind he created them male and female.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Then later they got married.

Gen 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Gen 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his WIFE: and they shall be one flesh.
Did you notice? There are two chapters that speak to the first creation of humankind at two different times.

One flesh. That means equal to one another. 24.“Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh” The Book of Genesis chapter 2
Verse:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit _____________________________________for him.”

Even God saw that the man and woman were spiritually equal as they are both made in God's image and likeness. (chapter 1 verse 27)

Man, fallen man invented all those,
Since the Fall, man became a slave to sin. He did not invent those, rather they were part of his fallen nature.

The Christian tries to get back to what God intended, purity and love.
Actually, it isn't a matter of self-effort where 'the Christian tries to get back to what God intended, purity and love', but rather through the new nature which is freely given in the new birth, the Christian 'naturally displays the fruit of purity and love, peace etc..

Eve is made from the flesh of Adam
Adam came first and made in the image of God
Even is made in the image of man
Eve is to be a helpmeet to Adam
We are made as mirror images and are fulfilled in being one
This is God's plan

It was never intended: homosexuality and lesbianism, open marriages, fornication, adultery, drugs, alcohol, tobacco
Man, fallen man invented all those,
never intended bisexuality, trans gender, cross dressing, animal sex, not paedophilia.

All these conditions from fallen cretation.

The Christian tries to get back to what God intended, purity and love.
Eve was made from the bone, the rib, of Adam. Adam was made from the dust of the ground. Eve was made therefore of the same stuff as Adam.
Did you notice? In the creation story God breathed the breath of life into Adam's nostrils and Adam became a living soul.
It does not say, man was given a soul. The Book of Genesis chapter 2 verse 7.
When Eve was made of Adam's ribs by God, did she too have a living soul? Adam was made of the dust of the ground God created before making the man. Eve was made by God.

Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
(1 Corinthians 11:8-9)
He made a woman and brought her to him
(Genesis 2:22)
The Book of Genesis chapter 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

The Book of Genesis chapter 2:
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.
(1 Corinthians 12:18)
I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God
(1 Corinthians 11:3)

For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head

@Whispered

Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,”
Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?
He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?
And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?
(Proverbs 24:11-12)
does this have anything to do with whether a person has any kind of authority over another?
NOPE
so regardless of whether woman was made for man ((she was)) Adam would have been in sin if he is standing by dumb and unmoved while he watches Woman be deceived and transgress. Adam is not deceived. but God judges him for 'listening to his wife' and eating the fruit; God does not judge him for failing to prevent her by standing up for what he knows is right.

the weight of the testimony is that Adam is not present while Woman is being deceived, and the language of Genesis 3:6 is completely consistent with that. if you don't agree with what the Spirit wrote in 1 Corinthians 11, fine, but you're going to have to find something other than repeatedly quoting Genesis 3:6 to support your argument, because by itself, it does not make your case.

Loving Authority + willing Submission = Peace and blessing .

The form of the government of God. Spoken of in Genesis 3:15
Genesis 3:15 is not about God's form of government at all; it is about the promised Seed (Christ) Who would deal with the deceiver once and for all. Nothing in that chapter speaks of God's intended form of government; rather, God pronounces the certain consequences of sin.

The number metaphor "two" is used to represent one. The Church as the likeness of God. . the image we are created in.. It was first established in the God head before the foundation of the world.
"Two" is never a metaphor for "one". Two may indeed work together, and two may become one in the case of marriage, but the numbers are not metaphorical.

this is important because Adam's response when God asks him if he has eaten is not blaming God for his own sin.
God accepts Adam's answer; God does not accept it when you tell God that God is responsible for your own evil actions.
Adam's response is interceding for his wife, saying, you gave her to me, and she ate. Adam is saying, i am to blame; have mercy on her. Adam says, she gave me and i ate: this is Adam confessing his sin, not ((as is commonly spread all over the churches)) Adam refusing to accept responsibility, trying to throw Woman under the bus and ultimately accuse God of responsibility.

Adam is a good husband in the sight of God. Adam is "
the figure of Christ" ((Romans 5:14)). God accepts the confession of him and of Woman, covers them, and saves them.

Agree. I see it as a man telling the truth, not trying to pass the blame.

People bridle at times at a simple answer, Adam was to rule over his wife.
This means he was the federal head, the last word, but according to God's will.
Since we are to love one another, this rule is not to be unpleasant, cruel,
unkind or in any way abhorrent. It is a rule that is founded in love.

Someone said man did not invent particular sins, he seems to say we had those sins in us when we fell.
I feel homosexuality is from the fallen nature, but it is perverted, man invented it, same with bestiality.
The sin bestiality gave mankind venereal disease, promiscuity with homosexuals gave HIV and AIDS.
The world denies it. This kind of Christian site will allow me to say that, but in any other forum we are
branded as unsympathetic, and worse wicked.

Young men in London carry knives, people are dying, these are learned traits.
I never heard of stabbing when I was a boy, never heard of murder or rape in my town.

The end times are coming closer. The end is nigh.

Christians should unite and seek to learn from each other, measuring each word
for kindness for learning. We are not to devour each other because we feel a word
or a parable means something different to another Christian. We should love discussing
God's Word. It should be a balm to study His Word in the spirit of Holiness.

. And when God cursed the woman saying she would suffer pain in childbirth, that was what made her mother of all living.
God never cursed the man or the woman.

God cursed the Serpent because of what he had done.
God cursed the ground for Adam's sake/benefit.

Since you bolded the statement, please unpack it, and explain on what scriptural basis you make the assertion. Also, please explain exactly what "rule" does means if it does not mean "exercise full authority".

Interesting take. Do you have any evidence to support your claim?
Here is the traditional reason from the NET Bible notes...

"3:12 a tn The Hebrew construction in this sentence uses an independent nominative absolute (formerly known as a casus pendens). "The woman" is the independent nominative absolute; it is picked up by the formal subject, the pronoun "she" written with the verb ("she gave"). The point of the construction is to throw the emphasis on "the woman." But what makes this so striking is that a relative clause has been inserted to explain what is meant by the reference to the woman: "whom you gave me." Ultimately, the man is blaming God for giving him the woman who (from the man's viewpoint) caused him to sin. Genesis 3:12"

Not true. However, I've posted enough scripture. Choose to ignore Genesis in part or in full, that is the option of the saint reading.
