I live about an hour from the Alaskan border the coldest Ive felt is about -60 without windchill factor. I was living in my van one winter without heat and it was down to -40 ish, that was not fun...woke up to frozen blankets and just pure misery but I survived 😇
Thank God for that :) yeah the town's power went out when it got -60 it was out for two hours. Not as harrowing as your experience though :)

I wouldn't now that I've lived in California and see it as the Sodom and Gomorrah that it is
I was never fond of California... I only lived there for a year for my dads work... and since I’ve moved away, I’ve had no desire to go back. Not even as vacation. I prefer snow capped mountains and pine trees... it’s funny how some people born in summer, hate summer... and those who are born in winter, hate the winter. It just makes sense it’s part of nature. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I will never go back to California. I hated it . I am a born and bred Canadian and I love my winters. I only left because my life was kinda maybe in peril haha

Yikes! Don’t let that happen! Lord... besides... California is full of crazy people. Never know who’s your friend or who will steal from you. I’ve lived mostly in the Midwest my whole life so I’m not entirely used to “cold” weather... but when it DOES get cold... that’s my nature. I love being in the cold cause you can always layer up with blankets lol

You must not have traveled around CA much. I left CA for CO 20 years ago and to this day when people ask what I miss about CA my reply is "the mountains and the trees" which always causes an odd look on the face of whomever I'm speaking with.

Not sure why people are flaming Cali, i am from and currently in Southern California and its pretty chill out here. I think mindsets about it have to do with perspective. I pretty much win wherever i go though, and im cool with 99% of the people i encounter. Sodom,Gomorrah, corruption and crazies are global, and if you consistently look for and identify them, they will find you, and you will miss the more positive and relevant things life has to offer.

No, I really didn’t. My dads job is what moved my family there in the first place. I lived right off the darned highway, and it wasn’t my choice considering I was like 12 when we moved there lol. All that I really remember about California is the area i lived in (outside of L.A.) was very desert looking and we didn’t Have any grass in the yards or even trees. I felt like I was living in the desert. That and I’m not a huge fan of the ocean... to visit while on vacation... maybe. But I prefer the colder weather and locations. But to each their own. 🤷🏻‍♀️
