What Are Some Habits, Quirks, or Things About You That Might Take a Spouse Some Getting Used To?

Now the question that most affects the wallet: How low are you willing to go? Is flowery orange pekoe the least you will accept for tea quality, or are you willing to drink orange pekoe? (I know better than to ask if you will accept regular old pekoe. That's tetley/lipton/luzianne level.)

Most of my tea bags don't designate the leaf quality so that's a question I don't think I can answer. I do know I've read that whole leaf vs broken doesn't affect the flavor of black teas as much as it does less processed ones like greens or whites so it's not really worth the money to buy the fancy whole leaf pyramid tea bags vs the regular stuff.

But I do agree that lipton is pretty low on the scale, only fit for using their cold brew tea bags for when I make iced tea by the gallon in the summer.

I grow herbs and pick them fresh for tea. dont need tea bags.
but some people dont like herbal tea and need to eat stuff out of packets that has a brand name.

Im a bit quirky in that I prefer fresh food and to grow it myself. Many people arent like that they are like why not just buy it from the shop. Why waste your time growing food?

I also feel bad when people just eat stuff and throw away their plates and plastic knives and forks. I couldnt live on takeaways all the time. again, its just more shopping who which isnt really what I like to do.

Oh yeah, that's another of my quirks. You'll probably have to watch that movie alone. I don't like watching movies or TV shows. If this was the old days when they actually used video to tell stories... I might bring myself to watch a recording of people I don't know pretending to do things, for the sake of a good story. But modern TV and movies are mostly just calculated formulas for eliciting audience reactions, and I have no interest at all.

I don't know why, but for some reason a lot of people get offended when you won't watch a show with them. I don't understand that. But yeah, that's a quirk my (theoretical) wife would have to endure.

Oh boy.... sorry Lynx but....imo there are a lot of things you have listed in the last few posts which may be helping to keep you single; which, if you're happy with then that's up to you; it just stands out to me as a woman that's all.

Hmmm.,
I cannot stand dishes lying around coffee cups ect.ect........if your through put it in the sink rinsed.
I constantly empty ashtrays where ever I am....lol
I hate clutter and hoarding.......I'm a PROUD minimalist!.( No stacks of unread mail either)
Everything has a place and I expect to find IT there when I need to use it.
Probably need to just hush,lol,I might scare even my friends away,scary considering what a spouse might have to deal with.

No definitely not.... I love going to the cinema all on my ownI find it very therapeutic....
But there are times when I'm sat at home on the sofa watching a movie and it feels lonely.... I much prefer it if my 12 year old son is with me....
and the thought of being in the arms of a man who loves me whilst I'm watching a movie is very appealing lol

Yes... but the point is...she's worth it
I don't need to ask my Dad.... I know he would do it for her, he would probably find the most practical way of achieving it, but nevertheless, the goal is, Lynne's contentment lol

I think you're missing the point, besides these days with Keruigs and nescafe coffee pods and other stuff, it's so easy to make coffee that even a non-coffee drinker could do so with the right equipment.

But the point isn't about coffee or tea, it about how willing a person seems to adapt to and serve another in the little everyday ways.

I would make an instant for a coffee drinker even though I myself dont drink coffee.
Although I eat most things. I think it would be harder if one is vegetarian and one isnt. or one is teetotal and one isnt, because eating and drinking is something you do every day, so if you didnt have much food tastes in common it would be difficult to share.

although I have heard of one couple not liking the others cuisine. But they might eat it without complaining. I suppose it depends on whos doing the cooking, ideally take turns as sometimes there can be too many cooks in the kitchen, unless you both like mucking in together.

I only have to look at my parents eating arrangements to see that sometimes theres a conflict there. Mum loves chinese and wont eat or cook anything else and dad is happy eating anything and often eats junk food cos hes not so great at cooking. Sometimes mum has to set her prejudices aside and just cook those sausuages dad loves so much. It is very rare in our household to go without a bowl of rice.
