Sorry for your loss, and welcome to CC. :)

I can relate to the feeling. It's humbling and scary to put your relational future in the hands of the Lord, even though I know it's the best plan. I hope you find friendship and encouragement here.

You never know what the Lord has planned for His Children. The loss of a Partner is harrowing. Pray earnestly and in total Faith that our Father knows what’s best for us. Maybe Jesus always speak to you Soul and build you up!

Marriage is not a promise. Not everyone gets married. Maybe you will, maybe you won't. The point is to live your life, either way.

No such thing as destined. Put yourself out there, make your own destiny. You're gonna do great

Well it depends. If one one is a follower of Christ, better to listen to Him and whatever his will is. If you’re not, you could certainly make your own destiny.

God helps those who help themselves brother. Trust God will be with you like He promises when you go out into the world. Plenty of people who say I'm going to sit and listen, then 20 years pass by and you're still alone. Why? No action.

There is no Biblical verse that’s states God helps those that help themselves. Also, if getting action puts you on the road to perdition, well take it as is I guess. Seen too many peoples lives become chaotic by such thinking.

This isn't about grace, this is about finding a mate. When it comes to salvation of course grace is enough
It’s not about grace? Since God created them male and female, would his grace fall under finding a spouse/mate?

Do what you want to do brother. Taking action in finding someone to be with for the rest of your life doesn't have to turn into a road to perdition. I'm talking about taking care of yourself physically, mentally and such. Putting your best foot forward, nothing wrong with that at all.

God promises to give us the desires of our heart. I have found most of the married gals I know have met their Christian spouse at Bible study and while just keeping busy doing His work. I would be in situations where both male and female Christians are such as volunteer work. God bless you there in the UK!

Not to offended, but you sound worldly.

All I am saying is if you’re s Believer, let the Lord guide you as scripture alludes to. If you put faith in yourself and your flesh, it will fail. Doing what you want is what lead to the fall of Humans.
