Luke 12 42 And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food [h]in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. 45 But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Which should tell you that (1) one does not use parable to establish doctrine, and (2) all believers go to Heaven.

Those who resist the eternal security of the believer don't really understand the Gospel or the finished work of Christ. So you need to go back to square one and study the Bible carefully (staying away from parables to begin with).

Parables are doctrine. And they are also the application of doctrine.

Those who remain babes (quarelsome), having their affections in this life, "Will be saved through fire." Catholics have a better understanding of "Beaten with many stripes" than the rest of us. Most importantly is to accep God's discipline in this life, that we may go on to perfection and have part in the first Resurrection. But if you try to teach babes to Go on to perfection, good luck with that. Only the Holy Spirit can do that. Babes or beginers are just like natural babies who can't look after themselves and dependant. Those who remain living this present world are not permitred to go on to perfection. The number of those who are willing to suffer with Jesus will be fulfilled. "These are called, chosen and Faithful." God dissent need our help with this, We desperatly need His help to be in that number. Here is an acount.of a few worddwords the Lord told me in preperation to meet Him face to Face.
Directions received in preparation for Journey:
"We will give ourselves to prayer."
Withhold nothing, take nothing, you have to be determined to succeed. Your prayer life must increase, content to participate in themystery of God. Go, this is a time of prayer; it’s the only way you'll succeed. Keep yourself in the Love of God, don't give up: you’re not ready. Be still: know that I Am with you. "Wait on the Lord and He will strengthen your heart." Your prayer life has to extend in all areas of your life. What you do not realize is that the war is accomplished: it's not as simple as you getting the power, you have to Love the Truth. Give up your life, no more going back to idols.
Don't be afraid, above all surrender (give Him yourfear). Don’t stay outside, don’t worry, Psalm 118. Be Faithful unto death. Seek Me more than your necessary food. Don’t fight against the Holy Ghost, give yourself to prayer. Give yourself to Him, you need to change, no longer desire earthly things, come and be reconciled. Make the most of your time, live in Prayer, don't want anything else, don’t forget.

No parables are NOT doctrines. They are ILLUSTRATIONS of spiritual truths. Big difference.
The word Doctrine comes from Latin Doctrina which is just another fancy word for teachings. Jesus TAUGHT in parables.

Let's never forget that the reason why Jesus taught in parables was primarily to HIDE spiritual truths from the unbelieving scoffers and mockers. That seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. They chose to be wilfully blind, therefore they were blinded by God.

Jesus said that "the Kingdom of Heaven is LIKENED UNTO..." That is what parables are all about. Illustrating spiritual realities with stories relating to ordinary everyday things. So if anyone stretches a parable beyond its limitations and creates a doctrine, he is bound to have problems.

The eternal security of the believer is embedded in the spiritual realities of (1) the grace of God and (2) the finished work of Christ. And that is where one must find the doctrines of salvation.

We have all learnt from the Parable of the Sower. In fact Jesus often expounded on these parables with his disciples. This is just one example.

Hebrews 2

2 Therefore we must give [a]the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just [b]reward, 3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

>Obedience is NB!
>lest we Drift away from the faith
>Salvation (which we have received) can be neglected (re-read the above).
>every transgression and disobedience receives just reward, so to will those who neglect their salvation, continue in disobedience and the resulting falling away from the faith.

Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

There is no difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament but it is a requirement to abstain from sin, which in the New there is no excuse for a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, and if it was a requirement in the Old Testament to abstain from sin how much more would it be in the New being able to have the Spirit.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

But there are many that will oppose that teaching to abstain from sins to be saved, and some even saying they cannot abstain from sin despite the Holy Spirit that will help them to abstain from sin, but God says those type of people turn away from them, and they will fight against you, and it is strange that they cannot see that sins separate them from God whether they confess Christ or not, but the Bible says they are ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth for they will not let go of the flesh.

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

1Co 9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

castaway
adokimos
ad-ok'-ee-mos
From G1 (as a negative particle) and G1384; unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication worthless (literally or morally): - castaway, rejected, reprobate.

But Paul said some do not have the knowledge of God, and Paul said if he did not abstain from sins he would be a castaway, which is cut off.

He has appointed the unbelievers their portion that have tasted and shared with the work of the Holy Spirit as those who fall away to perdition . They never having been appointed with those who believe .

God who is of one mind always does whatsoever His soul pleases .He performs that which is appointed to us as he works in us to both will and perform His good pleasure. If he begins the good work of salvation in us, drawing us unto His self he will finish it to the end.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Which should tell you that (1) one does not use parable to establish doctrine, and (2) all believers go to Heaven.

Those who resist the eternal security of the believer don't really understand the Gospel or the finished work of Christ. So you need to go back to square one and study the Bible carefully (staying away from parables to begin with).
Parables are prophecy . All prophecy to include the parables are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The whole time period of Kings in Israel is a parable that is historical true as well as spiritual .Just as Abraham and Isaac, or Rehab and Joshua. .Just as the time period in Egypt under the Pharaoh . The spiritual understanding the gospel is hidden and needs the prescription to rightly divide .

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Without the clarity of the 20/20 prescription above we see through a glass, darkly and miss the gospel understanding as the mystery revealed.

2 peter 3 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and [b]perdition of ungodly men.

i think peter understood, our lord spoke of scoffers, who would mock his coming, and in turn do what Jesus said they would do in Luke 12
