No, I would not marry a Buddhist. I would rather marry an agnostic.

look if I was attracted to her anything is possible.
they have a kind of born again component which is fascinating.
and their meditation is awesome imo.
It would be better to marry a physically unattractive Christian woman of good character than a Buddhist knockout.

I never intentionally dated a Buddhist. But a few students took me out and left me with a beautiful Buddhist girl telling me to date her. They did not drop a hint beforehand that this was a 'meeting.' I did nit pursue a dating relationship with her.

Looks and liking someone's personality are not everything. If you marry an unbeliever, you cannot be united in the most important aspects of life. Religion offers many areas for conflict.

Unbelievers may think the way Christians give is insane. If you do not want your kids worshiping demons by bowing down to idols that is another area of conflict. There are so many aspects of child rearing and life in general where being of the same faith is important. It also corresponds with a lower divorce rate.

Some people hope to convert a spouse after marriage. That is risky...and disobedient to become yoked like that. I thank it is unwise to try to convert someone through dating since it could be insincere.

I wanted to marry a Christian woman with the same faith and similar beliefs and values. I was particular about looks and wanted a thin woman without fat arms, no tattoos or piercings. I wanted to marry a virgin, too. The Lord answered my prayer.

Wow, I don't know what's worse, your comment or the fact that someone agreed with you! Better take another look in the Book my friend.

I think i would have to respect their religion. even its God lacking.
you know most religions have a grain of truth. Its just that Catholicism has the most grains.
No, sorry, Catholics don't have the most grains. Jesus cut out the middle man a long time ago. We can go directly to Him for forgiveness and anything else we need.

We have the the youth "pastor" who gets up there and fast, loud, obnoxious and exciting makes his announcements and tells us how we should be excited. Boy, he sure puts on a show. Excitement! That's what is needed! Finney would be proud!
Last year I went back to a church I had attended for several years, left for another reason. The new pastor runs up to shake our hand, not knowing most everyone in the church knew us because we had ministered there many times. Anyhow he came up with his blue jeans, a little too tight for his age, and his lumerneer smile and says a quick hello and welcome and walks on. We were there to see another singer in concert. So the lights go down and some young people come up on the stage with instruments. Everyone jumps up, no matter their age, and begins to bounce like a bunch of Tigger the Tigers. And then the strobe lights start and they hit the drums and guitars. I don't know if I'm in a bar, a strip club, or a rave, but I just know it can't be church! But no, Im sitting in a pew... And the songs! God is good, God is great, I love God,God is good, God is great, I love God,God is good, God is great, I love God. Good thing we took out all that power in the blood, for such a worm as I nonsense. On and on it went, with no end in sight. When my ears were near bleeding and the grand mal seizure was about to hit from the strobe lights and repetitive songs they stopped and let the guest come up. Apparently I wasn't the only one in that state because he did something very odd. He sang a hymn!! He dared to do such a thing in a church. I was there and saw it first hand!! And the Tiggers stopped bouncing and people began to cry and hands slipped up in the air. Amazing!! No strobe lights, no smashing of instruments, no bouncing, just the old fashioned Gospel put to music. You should have been there. Quite an amazing sight.

The repetitive unbiblical songs, ruination of hymns by editing them to make them "better" is disturbing. Girls in the ministry team in skin tight ripped jeans, or leggings. Preachers who try to be cool, are cursory with theology yet studious to preach of self (meology). It's become a show.

I never heard that God is good, God is great song. That does not sound like bad theology. Most hymns aren't scripture, so why would it be wrong to edit them? Editting a psalter could be a problem.

My grains of truth come from God's Word. Make that your grain of truth and find the church that aligns with that. When the church or preacher don't align with the Word, I'm gone.
