Yes the word for world here is Kosmos. Today the word Cosmos means the entire Universe. This is why we will rule and reign with Him for 1,000 years. God is a God of absolute Justice. He has impressed that upon me many times. We see this in how fine tuned the Universe is. We are forgiven because of the atonement, Jesus paid the price for sin for us. He was willing to do that for the Joy set before Him. Because of the Love that He has for us.Did Jesus take the punishment for everyone's sins on the cross? Is 1 John 2:2 relevant to this?
By his stripes are we healed......

Did Jesus take the punishment for everyone's sins on the cross? Is 1 John 2:2 relevant to this?
As long as you don't make the error to think that those who reject Christ are forgiven. If you reject the free gift your on your own.Did Jesus take the punishment for everyone's sins on the cross? Is 1 John 2:2 relevant to this?
Understanding the truth of the inspired word of God hinges on the fact that the scriptures do not contradict each other. It is similar to putting a puzzle together. If you try to squeeze one piece into a place that it does not belong, you will never see the whole pitcher. If you think that God wants all mankind to go to heaven, and you understand from the scriptures that all mankind will not go to heaven. How do you harmonize that fact with Dan 4:35? And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? Romans 9:21, Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump, to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? Phil 2:13, For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Christ died on the cross to pay for the sins of those that God choose before the foundation of the world and gave to him for the purpose of adopting them as his children. Eph 1:6, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Christ's sacrifice, on the cross, was a sacrifice made to God, for God's acceptance, and not a sacrifice to man, for man's acceptance.Did Jesus take the punishment for everyone's sins on the cross? Is 1 John 2:2 relevant to this?
Yes, Jesus PAID (past tense) the price for the sins of those that he died for. After Jesus's sacrifice, God looks upon those that he died for , as holy and without blame, Eph 1:4. Rom 8:28-30, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are THE CALLED according TO HIS PURPOSE. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first born among his brethren, Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called; and whom he called, them he also justified; and whom he justified, them he also glorified.Yes the word for world here is Kosmos. Jesus gave his life for "many" of mankind, which does not mean "all of mankind". Strong's concordance says many can mean "mostly".In Mark 10:45, Jesus states: "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." This is, of course, exactly what was written concerning Him, the Messiah, in the 53 chapter of Isaiah, which ends: "Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors."
Eph 2:5, How can a spiritually dead man accept a spiritual gift when he is dead to the things of the Spirit? 1 Cor 2:14. If it is by God's grace, then it is no more by works. As long as you don't make the error to think that those who reject Christ are forgiven. If you reject the free gift your on your own.
However the atonement of Christ is good for all sin ever. Even if you are in sin now, repent you will be saved.
I never said accept anything.Eph 2:5, How can a spiritually dead man accept a spiritual gift when he is dead to the things of the Spirit? 1 Cor 2:14. If it is by God's grace, then it is no more by works.
But you did say "reject" which is the other end of accept.I never said accept anything.
So.But you did say "reject" which is the other end of accept.
The natural man Will always reject anything that is of the Spirit, 1 Cor 2:14, until he has been born again with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Eph 2, and then he is able to accept spiritual things. The person that has been regenerated starts out his spiritual life as a new born babe in Christ and will not accept some spiritual things until he grows in knowledge to be weaned from the milk of the word and is able to digest the meat of the word.So.
What I said was that those that reject Christ don't receive salvation. This means nothing more than just what I said.
There are many that know the truth and reject it.
Yes HE was the only one that could fulfill the law perfectly, the law was added because of transgression and for man to be In right standing with GOD the law would have to be fulfilled by man..JESUS entered Into the world right, as a man and also GOD and HIS sacrifice on the cross for man was accepted by our PERFECT father In heaven who loves righteousness.Did Jesus take the punishment for everyone's sins on the cross?
