The above question is asked in all insincerity, not for the sake of disparing nor discouraging anyone!

1 Cor.11:18 For first of all, when ye come TOGETHER in the church,I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

1Cor.3:3 For ye are yet CARNAL: for whereas there is among you ENVYINGS,AND STRIFE,AND DIVISIONS,are ye not CARNAL ,and walk as men?

I see sooooooo very much dissention, hateful speech, accusations, even enemity among those who claim they follow God!

Why do you come here.....?
Are you that miserable....?
Why hold onto things He can deliver you from?

I truly grieve to see this in Christian forums........

LET.........US..........PRAY..!

I believe Christians should have respect for everyone.
There should be no hate, accusations, or any kind of disrespect.

I come here because I was needing a place where Christians come together and hang out and offer support for each other. I like talking to people, and I wanted a forum with other people who share my faith in God.

I understand where you are coming from, and I've seen the same things.
I started on another site before this one, and I should have started this one first.
I've witnessed what you are referring to in real life.

To me, it makes no sense. We need to put a broken world back together.

I come here for encouragement and fellowship with Christians. Also to learn some Bible lessons from learned people here. I am here also to share what I have learned from my own search for Bible truth. One more thing, the laughs, drama, trolls and the food posts are entertaining sometimes.

To answer your questions....

1. I come here because it's something fun to do and it passes the time.
2. Yes.
3. Because I can.

Enough said.

Here I am allowed to be my truest self. I am not a role, I am part of God's family. Please understand that I'm not trying to sound sanctimonious. My life had hit a time of such pain and sadness that I didn't know what to do. This site allowed me to talk about things that matter, laugh a little and be permitted to walk along others for a few moments. Yes there are people who are reacting out of pain, or anger, pride or wounded pride. There are also others who support, encourage, share scripture and pieces of their hearts.
I don't understand people being ugly in the name of Christ. You don't understand it either because of who you are. Continue to be who you were crafted to be. Thank you.

You my friend are a precious blessing!
It is because you share your true self that hearts are intertwined in love.
Life IS hard and the way narrow and sometimes filled with pitfalls.
The real spirit of Christ shines in hearts that are open and real.
May we continue to be blessed, comforted, encouraged, strengthened and loved in Him!

You seem to have the same experience I have had but in your individual, personal to-God, manner. I suppose I always believed God but not quite fully until one day, with a broken heart I went to Him, and He, as He promises would not turn away my broken heart. He spoke to me in a dream, and the following day was when I was visited, entered, by His s
Spirit. I did not know about the Holy Spirit baptism, but I certainly found out...….then I read the Word, beginning with Isaiah by His design.
It is certain your heart was broken for others, not simply for yourself. Mine was. God bless youa lways and keep us all in His Love, amen.

I come here primaraly looking for seekers who are asking questions seeking God..:) Unfortunately they are not as numerous as i would hope.. If there where more then i would dedicate all my time for them..

Secondly i come here to help other Christians grow in the knowledge of salvation.. :giggle:

Thirdly i come here to see if anyone has an insight from the Holy Spirit they are willing to share so i can grow more in the knowledge of salvation..(y)

Forthly i come here to defend the Gospel from false preachers who spread false doctrines, who are seeking to lead babes in Christ into the pit.. I feel a great desire to defend new Christians from the wolves in sheep's clothing.. This is by far the most unpleasant activity to take part in.. I wish i did not have to.. But sadly where ever two or more Christians are gathered in His name you will also find satan sends his allies to see if they can lead people into destruction.. :(

Lastly i come here to have some fun and maybe find a friend or two.. I enjoy the music video threads and sometimes the games and the funny posts..

I'm just in it for the bake sales. (burp)

IFOLLOWHIM have you been hanging out in the Bible Discussion Forum too much? Spend enough time there and you'll start believing even Jesus isn't saved.

Sure some of the arguing spills over into the other forums occasionally. But they eventually seep back to the BDF where they are comfortable and they can insult each other in peace.

In a nutshell: To share the gospel and defend the gospel against false teachers and fellowship with other believers.

To stay in touch with Christian perspectives other than my own.
i dont like generic atheist forums much. i feel more in common with the imaginative risk-takers who believe in someone/something they cant see. And JC's story is by far the best.

"To share, by the grace of God, gratitude of God's Holy Spirit coming upon this life
that was out of order...believe it. And, hopefully to encourage lost souls, through
God's Divine 'Inspiration', that it is ones own self that must be willing to change.
It is disturbing, many make claim about God, but few are Spiritually 'enlightened',
as in Spirit and Truth has profound significance...'Christ in Us'.
I Am just 'Bingo', here in the now."
'Praise God'

Thank you MailmanDan, do you experience G-d in your days? Some, most even, know about Him without knowing Him and interacting with Him personally.

Yes and to know God certainly goes beyond merely knowing certain things about Him. In John 17:3, we read - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (which is an intimate, experiential knowledge, found only in a relationship). The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him, not merely theoretical knowledge.
