The scattering abroad likely took place after Stephen was stoned, which placed James being written after Acts 8, and before the Council event in Acts 15.

The way James wrote his letter, it is highly unlikely that James have even heard of Paul's conversion, hence was not aware of the mysteries that the ascended Christ revealed to Paul.

It is just that, James being placed after Paul's epistles, gave many Christians the impression that James must have already read and understood everything that was stated in Romans-Philemon, before writing his own epistle.

This gives rise to all the attempts trying to force James to agree with Paul.
The whole nation of Israel was not scattered abroad, which is the twelve tribes. When the Bible uses the term “twelve tribes “ it is never used in a sense of a particular group from the twelve tribes. It is always a reference to the entire nation of Israel.

I agree that James was written before Paul’s epistles, but why has it been placed after Paul’s epistles and the book of Hebrews? Could it be that the audience is Jews after the rapture, in the tribulation? Have you read my posts showing this to be the case?

From what I know, many Dispensationalists normally view the placement of the books in the NT by the Holy Spirit as

Time past: Matthew to John
But now: Romans to Philemon
Age to come: Hebrews to Revelations.

Yes, which puts James after the Church age and to the Jews in the tribulation. What do you think?

Yes, James Chapter 2 makes perfect sense during the Tribulation.
Tribulation saint...Revelation 14:12-13, keeping commandments and the faith of Jesus Christ (faith plus works), James 2:24.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

I would say in Acts 7 you have Stephen preaching to the elders and scribes of Israel. That preaching was rejected and Stephen is stoned. Acts 8 we see the Samaritans receiving the word and the first Gentile saved, the Ethiopian eunuch. The conversion of Paul occurs in Acts 9. From then on the kingdom is postponed and the gospel of grace continues to go out to the Gentile world. The Jews would eventually have a final rejection of this gospel in Acts 28. Paul would then only preach to Gentiles the gospel of grace.

no one had supplied a single verse stating God extended something for a year or this many months.

And no one has supplied biblical proof that Stephen died in AD34 and about dates they all can’t be pinned to exactly this date or that date.

The stoning of Stephan could just as equally of happened 2 or 3 years or 5 yrs past the crucifix, the idea of a year extension is futile.

Why is the exact date important to you?

There isn’t though a poster said a year extended, I have not seen it so I assume it’s a man made theology

I appreciate the book of James for it probably contains the longest and the best instructions on how the tongue can be such a powerful part of the body and how to "manage it".

But there is no need to force it to harmonize with Paul when it comes to salvation doctrine. Us in the Body of Christ follow Paul's gospel. Why confuse others with James chapter 2?
Ah, the tongue! Speaking of the tongue, are not both Jews and Gentiles supposed to confess Jesus as Lord and Messiah? Are we both not to confess our sins and repent?

Of course Gentiles are not keeping the law of Moses, but that doesn't mean we aren't to love our neighbor as ourselves (compare Jas 2:8 with Ro 13:8-10, 15:2; 1Co 10:24).

"Paul's Gospel?" 1Co 1:10-13: "[10] I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. [11] For it has been reported to me by Chloe's people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. [12] What I mean is that each one of you says, 'I follow Paul,' or 'I follow Apollos,' or 'I follow Cephas,' or 'I follow Christ.' [13] Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Romans 16
25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
2Th 1:5-10: "[5] This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering--[6] since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, [7] and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels [8] in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. [9] They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, [10] when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed."

1Co 3:1-9: "[1] But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. [2] I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, [3] for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? [4] For when one says, 'I follow Paul,' and another, 'I follow Apollos,' are you not being merely human? [5] What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. [6] I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. [7] So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. [8] He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. [9] For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building."

There are no Jews or Gentiles in the body of Christ, so why does James address the twelve tribes if it’s a Christian epistle?
James is writing to the twelve tribes scattered among the nations because that is whom he chose to address in this letter. We don't stop being Jews or Gentiles when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has made us both one. We both have access in one Spirit to the Father. The Gentiles are fellow citizens with the Jews.

Concerning the first part of your statement, reference Ephesians 2:11-22: [11] Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called 'the uncircumcision' by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands--[12] remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. [13] But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. [14] For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility [15] by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, [16] and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. [17] And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. [18] For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. [19] So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, [20] built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, [21] in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. [22] In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit."

To which tribe do you belong?

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

well, not the KJV only tribe of which you belong

Exactly! There are no Jews or Gentiles in the body of Christ. Why would James address the twelve tribes of Israel? These are not part of the body of Christ. The body of Christ has been caught up and the Lord has turned His attention back to Israel to fulfill His promise to them.

Fallacy: equivocation. JohnR7 said "origional (sic) language"; you said "originals". They are not the same thing.

By the way, the word is "moot", not "mute". :)
ha

apparently it IS mute to some...

James’ audience needed to receive the word and have their souls saved.

1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
