she was not punish for speaking against moses. for both spoke against moses & GOD is just SO being just he would punish both if that was what it was for . GOD BLESS ,
you don't mean, it's okay to speak against Moses so long as you're a man? but we have Korah + 250 other men, 'leaders of the congregation' in Numbers 16 rising up against Moses and similarly judged. how would this explain that?

this is such a good question :)

‘Adam was not deceived, but the woman.’ (1 Timothy 2:14).

Ephesians 5:23 KJV

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
While they suggest it, none of those verses state that a wife may not have authority over her husband.

There is one area for which Scripture says the wife does have authority over the husband: physically; 1 Corinthians 7:4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

in Numbers 16:3 Korah and the men with him come against Moses & Aaron ((where's Miriam?)) saying the whole people is holy God is with us all, why are you guys special etc.. -- kind of the same as Aaron & Miriam saying they've also prophesied in Numbers 12.

It is seems that God was not pleased with her behavior. For Aaron it was acceptable since he and Moses are of the same level. The reason is probably because she is disrespectful to Moses. So God needed to punish her, spit in her face to correct her and put her in her proper place. God is not against women. He is against disrespectful and rebellious women.
my wife points out that Aaron is the one who has to check Miriam for leprosy, per the laws in Leviticus 13 _________:unsure:

v.2 seems to me to say it was both of them speaking against Moses; not just Miriam but also Aaron.
They both did speak against moses , but it was when she said that GOD had spoke through them to is when GOD heard it .SORRY I've not learn' t how to do this yet GOD BLESS .

Maybe that is the only exception and it is not related to the topic unless you suggest that a couple do PDA in Church to prove that wife can have authority over her husband.

. . so functioning as an intercessor in his role as priest, Aaron bears the sins of the person he is making sacrifices for. sacrifices like those for a cleansed leper

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but until our Lord Jesus came, we don't have any other records of lepers being cleansed other than

  1. Moses as he performed the sign, his hand becoming leprous when he put his hand in his cloak and restored when he did it again ((Exodus 4:6-7))
  2. Miriam, presumably cleansed after 7 days ((Numbers 12:14-15))
  3. Naaman the Syrian, dipping in the Jordan 7 times ((2 Kings 5:13-14))

One has to realize there in the Saint Apostle Paul's epistle to the churches in Corinth, that verse 4 is not God's edict. It is Paul's instruction to the churches he founded in Corinth.
This means, God did not say this about women. And thus, Christian women should not think that command, and all of Paul's instruction in chapter seven pertains to them today. Those instructions do not apply to women today.

is Aaron's punishment performing the ceremony of a cleansed leper?

what would that say about what Christ was doing to the priests by cleansing so many lepers!:eek:o_O:D:LOL:

it means that, if Paul was wrong. is Paul wrong? there, in scripture?
otherwise, it was for that people in that day, but not for us? why not now, and us? what's different?

I think the alleged link between women in ministry and gays in ministry is bunk.
They both represent, at the very least, a compromise of the plain words of scripture.
As you may know from scripture, uncalled and unqualified people wanting to be in positions of authority in the congregation of God's people is not new.
