That is a TRICK QUESTION. I told you BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS WILL NEVER FALL AWAY from was GIVEN TO THEM BEFORE TIME BEGAIN.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Only followers (disciples) of Jesus who have NEVER been Born Again, can fall away.

1 John 2:19 (NKJV)
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
Your 1 John 2v9 proves it. You have to continue. Don't be afraid. You can admit that we must continue to believe.

NO, WRONG AGAIN. Genuine Faith, happens the MOMENT YOU BELIEVE, which is when the Holy Spirit comes into your heart, and births your Human Spirit into Eternal LIFE. IT IS CALLED BORN AGAIN.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Romans 4:4-5 (NET)
4 Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation.
5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Romans 11:6 (NASB)
6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.
You are wrong again.

Romans 10
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent?

@Chris1975. Please read this post explaining Eternally Grateful’s meaning regarding the never thirst quote. (Second paragraph)

He said someone who comes to living faith will believe forever
John 6 seems to scare him he refuses to discuss it.

good luck though!

Chris, what VCO said is in agreement with Romans 10. The Gospel is God’s power unto salvation. The Gospel and Spirit produce the New Birth in a person. we Are born of God

Faith is a response to the powerful, life giving Word.

He thinks it comes from self and his own power ie God has no power
Took a look around at other threads... it seems the sinless people, the law keepers and those looking for wages rather than the free gift of salvation are everywhere. :(

Grieves my heart.

28From the standpoint of the gospel they (Israel) are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; 29for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. - Romans 11:28-29

Show me how this means you can never lose faith in God, and never lose salvation.

Then I will show you how it means Israel will one day be saved because of God's irrevocable promise to Abraham.
Of course you would... because you are spiritually blind and unable to accept the truth,...even when it's right in front of your face!
For your information, the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable all across the board.

so only israel is guaranteed to be saved and no one else? it says gifts plural so its not talking about just one gift.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Eph 2:8-9 KJV)

The gift of God is SALVATION.

The link between us and God by which we are saved is our faith. Our works have no part in our salvation.
Your right, salvation is a gift of God.
So is... grace and faith!

Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

John 1:16
And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

The Amplified Bible translation is a well recognised translation that uses additional English words to bring out true meanings and various other nuances from the original Greek and Hebrew. It usually takes more English words to express what a single Greek word conveys. That is why it is so useful to be used in conjunction with a normally accepted and well respected translation.

Yet you know better.
So in other words... it supports a false interpretation of faith being a work!

Never fully or can comprehend why they worshipped these false Gods.
I know there were a lot of them given the religions of the time.

They even started worshipping a false god (Golden calf) whilst Moses was receiving the commandments from God.

Now I'm not a perfect Christian but part of me thinks "Wow you have seen the miraculous work of God and yet you do this"

I often have to keep myself in check because I'm quick to forget the miraculous things God has done in my life.

What I do find interesting though is that I see some grace concerning what happened.
God could have just wiped them out.

It seems like at this time God was going to consume them yet Moses interceded for them. I think based on what God had done bringing them out of Egypt.

Exodus 32:9-14
9 And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!
10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”
11 Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said: “Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?
12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people.
13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ”
14 So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.

I have highlighted V10 because I do not quite get what is happening here.

God saying I will make of you a great nation but Moses response is in V13.

Can anyone clarify this for me?
Sure I can! What I'm not so sure about is why I should! :)

You dislike, and/or disagree with everything I post. And, the same will probably happen with this post as well, eh?

At that point in time, and place, of Jehovah's anger? NOT much unlike the Lord God of Hosts "grief", He had after the "garden of Eden incident", where and when He was "grieved to His heart, that He made man flesh?"

Jehovah was telling Moses: "Get outta My head Moses!" "Because I WANT to destroy ALL these "sons of Abraham!" "And, START ANEW!" "With YOU Moses!"

It doesn't "say" in the Bible as to why Moses didn't agree with Jehovah! Because He surely was angry enough with them ALL! EVEN his own brother!
But, methinks, there are "pieces of information", given, to where "dots can be connected", where Moses "more then likely" took a "step back", and not "knowing the future", and not having Aaron there as his "mouth piece", so to speak, probably gave Moses motivation, in his seeking around Jehovah's "anger" to the Lord God of Hosts! Or, a "cooler SIDE of God!" As is seen in verse 11.

To which Moses made his "appeal", to Elohim (Adonai Elohim of Hosts) to remember the Promises He made to Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. In "essence?" Going "over the head" of Jehovah, "TO the Seven Spirits of God", well? To that and those "Spirit/s" having to do with Israel!

As we can read in verse 14? For better, or? As "apostasy marches forwards?" For worse? Moses succeeded!

UNBELIEF IS SIN. You said on post 117993 that continuing in belief was NOT REQUIRED. For then you would thirst again. Therefore living in unbelief is living in sin.

Tell me, does a believer need to REPENT?
....and thus goes the "EG show!" :p
Tis the same "act" he performs with anyone who does not agree with him!

Isaiah 28
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: IOW? FALSE WHEAT!

Which is why I have said these poor people have a good "clock?"
Yet, haven't eyes, in "seeing" what time it is!

Jesus' "thief in the night" scenario? STANDS!

I was thinking that too ....
Working for the enemy in spite of truth given.... there can be nothing worse.
Maybe that is why their topic is always about losing Salvation instead of rejoicing in the hope of our coming Lord...

I can understand why babes in Christ go through a season of thinking we can lose our Salvation because I was like that once because I did not understand the Scriptures and who the warnings were to , but men/women who say they have been walking with our LORD for years , yet they still have this fear if they are saved or not , I do not get that , they must live in fear more than harmony , after all , God did not give us a spirit of fear , but a spirit in love and a sound mind...
