Remember, the goal of the narcissist is to satisfy their desperate need to always feel superior to you. They do that by always being right. Being right is more important to them than the truth. That's why, for example, in one argument a person will say believers never stop believing, then in the next argument, when it suits them, that person will say the believer is still saved even if he stops believing. The need is to be right, not search out the truth. Truth is the narcissist's kryptonite.

They will say whatever they need to say to be right. And they will do whatever they need to do to be right, which includes provoking you to respond in an uncivil manner so they can appear morally superior to you. If they can't win an argument on facts, they will attack you personally in order to provoke you to bad behavior. Anything to maintain the desperate need to feel superior to you.

I'm sharing this so some people here can recognize this about themselves and prepare themselves for the return of Jesus. And so the pages and pages of unjust treatment of others in this thread can finally come to an end. After all, as Chris1975 pointed out, that's what this is all about. Christianity isn't about having correct 'religious' doctrine. It's about having doctrine that changes who you are.
Does this look like "some" people in here?

Maybe that is why their topic is always about losing Salvation instead of rejoicing in the hope of our coming Lord...

I can understand why babes in Christ go through a season of thinking we can lose our Salvation because I was like that once because I did not understand the Scriptures and who the warnings were to , but men/women who say they have been walking with our LORD for years , yet they still have this fear if they are saved or not , I do not get that , they must live in fear more than harmony , after all , God did not give us a spirit of fear , but a spirit in love and a sound mind...

So continuing faith is required.
-EleventhHour take note
-Eternally-Grateful take note.
Eternal life is received ...it is a one time event.

Dedication to the faith is not salvation that would make salvation a work.. salvation can never be earned.

It's not about losing "salvation!"
It's about gaining "Spiritual maturity!"
From the which? If one is not gained? Maturity!
The "other", can be lost! Or, taken from you! Salvation!

If it were not POSSIBLE to lose salvation?
There would have been no NEED for Jesus to say this!:
Matthew 7

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

The will of the Father is to believe in the work of the Son.

I was thinking that too ....
Working for the enemy in spite of truth given.... there can be nothing worse.
It’s not new. Paul fought it in the beginning. I am sure we will be fighting it until Christ returns

Jesus was speaking about those who " claim " to know Him , but He never knew them, they were not in Him , nor was He in them...

Oh my word.....I'm asking YOU. Do you believe in Continuing Belief? It's not politics.
In simple terms do you HAVE TO CONTINUE BELIEVING IN CHRIST TO OBTAIN SALVATION? Y/N
Do you have continually believe that you own a car in order for it to be true....smh....so absurd.

Reality does not change based on our belief of said reality... you really do not understand belief and the objective reality of the gift of salvation.

As well you continually deny God's response to our belief.
The gift of salvation.... given once in a moment in time forever secure otherwise it is not a gift but a loan.

As well what is really annoying is you make this continual belief a gift back to God.

Continual belief for salvation = Dedication for salvation
Roman Catholicism alive and well.

The will of the Father is to believe in the work of the Son.
And HERE is the work of the Son!
1 Corinthians 1
4 I thank MY God always on your behalf, for the GRACE of God which is GIVEN you by Jesus Christ;

Even Jesus said the will of the Father is to BELIEVE whom He SENT!

As God the Father? NO!

But, "the Son" as He who REDEEMS those who believe TO this "Grace of God!" NOT by Jesus' "grace!" But, by the Father's grace, THROUGH His "Son's REDEEMING!"

iT'S ALL THIS "PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE", so to speak, or "PUTTING THE CART AS THE HORSE", is when THIS happens!:
2 Thessalonians 2

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

So not true... a gift is a gift... you redefine a word to mean loan.. scripture is clear it is a gift....cannot be lost/revoked/returned because it comes from God who secures with His seal.

The fact they deny this fear is the scariest truth at all
