Atheism is simply make believe for adults.

It's the adult mental attempt to push God out of existence from their reality. Imagine someone in a house pulling down the shades, because they want to make the sun not exist. Imagine that person barricading the doors, thinking that will make the sun not exist.

That's basically what the atheist does. They spend their entire existence trying to push God out of their mind through what appears 'logical' and 'reasonable' assertions.

Most are quite good at this adult version of make believe. They've erected enough blockades and pulled enough shades, they kinda think he don't exist.

Yet the fact they continue over and over again to push him out of their mind, just shows he does indeed exist.

That seems to be a good description of an atheist.

lol i always think of it as little kids sitting in their room telling their mom or dad that they don't exist.

Look at the statement "I don't believe in you God"

ummm who are you talking to if not God?

I've actually heard someone who claimed to be atheist say that and i was very good, I didn't laugh until after they left. :)

I have found it to be a wonder that many who claim to be atheists seek out christians and places of christian habitation. I stand amazed because only God can draw darkness to light, IF he chooses. The ones who are drawn are unwillingly under conviction and chosen by God. It is the ones who keep their beliefs, or lack thereof, quiet who really concern me. They are no longer crying out for help.

Wow, I didn't realize it took mental effort to not believe in pixies at the end of the garden.
There is an annoying element when people claim you don't actually believe what you believe. I mean, you know there isn't, your just pretending ;)

The humour went down well first time I read Stilly's avatar, since most of us know its a common joke (we make (with a twist) I had to read it twice t make sure I wasn't going blind or something :)

Well its pretty brave of you to spout your ignorance on an all christian chat forum. "not". Luckily I'm an agnostic and a member of this website so I won't let you get away with this nonsense as easily as these other people.
First of all the burden of proof lays on the person with the outragous claim. that would be you dear.
It is logical to assume the outrageous claim untill the person brings that brings that claim offers imperical evidence to support that claim. sorry hun. you lose.

The life of an atheist is, by definition, ultimately meaningless.

In atheism, a person is a collection of biological matter that dies on a planet that will cease to support it in a universe that is expanding faster and faster until atoms won't hold together negating even the possibility of biological life.

The Christian experiences what the atheist forfeits in this life and knows what they forfeit for eternity for we have a downpayment from God, in our spirits, of what is to come after our spirits part from our mortal bodies. This is something the atheist cannot receive in their current state.

Yet even God uses the atheist's rejection for good both in this life and for eternity though it does not benefit the atheist themself.

A couple days ago, I said something about an atheist being a troll and people got upset with me. Here's the thing.. ALL atheists are trolls and here's why. 1. Why do need to learn about something that you dont believe. 2. If they were just here to learn, they would just sit quietly and listen and not feel the need to proclaim their atheism.

What if i went to a chat sight for families of holocaust victims and said. ''I don't believe the holocaust ever happened. I would be out of order for doing that.. same applies to atheists in the chat room

Its mainly ignorance that they don't believe in Him.

If we lived maybe 100 years in the past we would not even be having this discussion but things are getting so degenerate that agnosticism and atheism are common. Reverence and piety is gone from America... Where I live though in the country, some people are more wholesome and reverent than most others, mainly I think because there are many churches in my area and the generation is much more old fashioned.

Atheism is make believe for adults lol how closed minded. Atheism is simply the non-belief of a supernatural being. Us atheists base this non-belief on concepts such as logic and science and not belief which has no factual evidence.
If you want to believe in talking snakes, noahs ark, and all these make believe stories for children, then thats your choice. Just because you believe something doesnt make it true.

Name me one thing that a christian has done for the good that an atheist hasnt?

i have always tought the "he died for your sins" quote is a bad one the whole guilt trip of he died for you, you should care etc i mean in my perspective its like me hateing some1 because i had to get them out of trouble so i decide to hate them be cruel to them etc but i dont just do it to this person i do it to his/her whole family and future generations until they all apologise for it and keep apologiseing for something they are not involved in.

now to me thats stupid my hate should just belong to him/her no one else why because they had nothing to do it.

im not trying to insult anyone im juts trying to explain how i see it im sorry if i have cause some offense

now let me ask should i follow jesus example and keep making that family apologise and make it up to me for the rest of time or just be angry at that one person until he apologise and we forgive and forget and move on.

if you said the second one then please dont use the he died for your sins argument honestly it just creates confusion for us

I used that because we were asked what a Christian did that an atheist didn't.... so I don't see the problem in this context.
Besides, He did it whether you like it or not ;)

But to answer you more properly: You should follow God becasue you LOVE him regardless of everything else.

Well I have a disagreement with (some apply church to chatroom) Jesus said that where two are gathered
together in his name, there he is also and that means a chatroom as well as ANY church. You can have
fellowship anywhere. Where did JC have fellowship? Did he feel the need to rush into a building to be with
people and help them? NO! Fellowship was where ever JC was, be it beside a river or on a mountain or in
the street...church=structure=man made and anything that is made of man can be destroyed, whereas
being with JC, even in a charoom is fellowship with JC.
