Atheism is simply make believe for adults.

It's the adult mental attempt to push God out of existence from their reality. Imagine someone in a house pulling down the shades, because they want to make the sun not exist. Imagine that person barricading the doors, thinking that will make the sun not exist.

That's basically what the atheist does. They spend their entire existence trying to push God out of their mind through what appears 'logical' and 'reasonable' assertions.

Most are quite good at this adult version of make believe. They've erected enough blockades and pulled enough shades, they kinda think he don't exist.

Yet the fact they continue over and over again to push him out of their mind, just shows he does indeed exist.
It is really sad how persons try to ignore the one who created then, some even try to shun the very thought of a supreme being. Take for example the scientist who -because they think everything has a logical explanation- says that it is because of evolution that the earth exists. I think that persons cannot understanding how the world came into existence is because we think logical and so we, who the Lord allow to recognize and believe the truth MUST feel blessed and praise him for such belief. I mean God has been so good to us as Christians and this is why he calls us to transformation-We have to be like him. Because we are logical being, we have to be transformed by the RENEWING of or MINDS, this the Lord is capable of doing. :)Be blessed:)

i think people are not trying to ignore who created them. i think they are looking for a bigger answer than something that created the earth in 7 days, which is obviously contradicting considering the fact that scientists have been able to create life themselves proving god isn't the only one that can create life.

I suppose the main question about The Ark is... What was the point? The purpose of the flood was to get rid of all the wickedness etc. But it didn't really change anything did it!

I wouldn't really say the synthetic life was really "creating life", it really was just rebooting a cell with a new genome.

god loves everyone. I think as long as you are a good person you will be in heaven. Muslim, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist, christian. it doesnt matter as long as you have good morals and want to help others grow as good people and help the world.
Your profile says you're a Christian. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and think that you just really haven't read your Bible much, maybe because you're new to Christianity.

Anyways, this is one of the biggest lies of Satan. The Bible says there's no such thing as a good person (Ecclesiates 7:20), and Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Jesus is the one way to heaven, not one of many ways, the one and only way. If you reject Jesus, you don't go to heaven, plain and simple. The doctrine of going to heaven just because you're a "good person" is nothing but an illusion and a lie.

The wickedness of the people that were wiped out in the flood was much greater than the wickedness now (although, we are swiftly approaching the wickedness of the times of Noah). In the times of Noah, no one turned to God except for Noah's family, no one sought the things of God.

Since the flood, many people have come to salvation through Christ. So yeah, it did make a difference. There are still lots of Christians turning to God, and many other sinners are repenting and being saved daily. Although, the world loves to persecute and ridicule Christians to try and get them to turn away from God, and God's global judgment will be coming again.

But that doesn't that open up the moral dilemma of a 'good person' going to hell and the possibility of a child murderer going to heaven?

There's no such thing as a good person, so hell will not be filled with good people, it'll be filled with unrepentant sinners who reject the forgiveness of Jesus. The only way a child murderer goes to heaven is if the person receives forgiveness. Such a person would have a transformed heart. In short, the person would no longer be a child murderer, but a repentant sinner who received forgivenss and undeserved salvation. At the end of the day, there is not one person that deserves heaven, not one.

Amen CatHerder , Jesus did say the only way to the Father is by through me . So you must beleave in Jesus that he came to die on the cross for our sins and except Jesus as your Lord and Saviour .I remember one of the pastors say one time , there was a lady that never did wrong and never said a bad word never did a wrong thing against another person , but still lost her life because she did not know Jesus .

I have a really simple answer for that one: NO!!!!!!
Seriously? Are you implying that because stuff exists, the God of the Bible exists?
I can say it proves the Spaghetti Monster exists.
We are not the ones pulling down the shades. We look at things from an outside perpective.
We look at a religion and say: "Why am I supposed to believe that?"
And don't believe in it until evidence has been presented.
If you want me to stop "pushing God out of my mind", then fine, I'll do it!
I'm a Hindu from now on. Happy?
"Actually, I can't believe how you spend your entire existence trying to deny Vishnu.
It's just so obvious he's real. You just have to open your eyes!
You all know he exists, you are just trying to surpress the truth. Well, that's what all christians do.
If you continue this sinful lifestyle, you'll be pigs or something in your next life."

Yes, this is what you sound like.

I have not seen any not banned atheists on this site yet, so I guess you might ban me as well.
Although your post IS about atheism so I think I have the right to reply.
Not like I said anything more "offensive" than you did.
And there's even a "not-Christian" option in registration, so yeah.
Might wanna think about that before you report me.
