To be saved we need to confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord,
And what does this mean exactly?

Do you think confess means that a person must make an audible, verbal declaration that Jesus is Lord to another person or to a Christian or to a group of people to be saved

Words have meaning and it helps to look at the meaning of the word in its original language too.

I see what you are getting at, but this life is temporary is it not?
I am not talking about physical life

jesus said whoever believes in him will never die, he did not mean physically.

he is talking about the second death

I should have added "Salvation is for all who believe."
And the Bible says that God knew who would believe and predestined them to eternal life before time began

i think someone’s we forget. God is outside of time, he knows what everyone will do. And knew it before they were born.

I will let you look up the meaning and then you can tell me.

I truly do not understand why the Holy Spirit would convict a person of the sin of unbelief in Jesus and a person who repents of that a places their faith and trust in Jesus to then at some point reject them.

We know God knows who will come to him before they were born.
It seems very cruel indeed to allow that to happen, to adopt them then unadopt them.

If that were true then I'm not sure that he is who he says he is.
But let's assume that is the case. What a miserable experience the walk with him would be.

I should know I walked it.
Only people who think they are earning salvation/keeping salvation think they can walk away.

The two go hand in hand.

As someone said, God knows our beginning and our end, but as far as God is concerned we are all vile sinners and to be honest I do not think He would choose anyone. Thing is, we chose God, and He knows who those people will be.

The second death for me means to be in Glory with my Saviour for all eternity.
the bible says the second death will be given to all who go to hell

Revelation 20:14 [Full Chapter]
Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

those who have eternal life will not die a second time

So God knows but he does not know

he chose based on two things

1. the death of his son for all mankind, offering redemption

2. his knowledge of who would repent and recieve his free gift, and who would say no.

Yes God knows we are such vile sinners, that’s why he came to earth to die.

You didn't think I knew off the top of my head, do you?

Number 1, Jesus died for the 'whosover' (everyone) and yes to number 2.

Grace is given to the believer, right. But suppose that person turns to Buddhism lets say, does that person still have the grace of Jesus Christ?
Let's suppose that happens.

Now you come across as saying that grace given to the believer is removed and transferred to another.

Is that what you have been saying?

That is what I am saying. A case in point would be the Israelites who were God's chosen people but when thy backslid God transferred his grace to the Gentiles.
