You are the one in the dock for denying those scriptures that warn against backsliding.
Well you deny the scriptures that prove eternal security

so looked like either both groups deny scripture, or one group misinterprets scripture

which is it?

A father might give his son a car, freely and unconditionally, but his son’s acceptance of that gift automatically binds him to the law of the land. So, it is with Christ's free and unconditional gift of salvation, the acceptance of which automatically binds us to the law of God.

The apostle Paul said "I, therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you are called, (2) with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, (3) eager to maintain unity of Spirit in the bond of peace. (Eph 4:1-3 ESV) So that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increase in the knowledge of God." (Col 1:10)

Our acceptance of Christ's gift means living each day for Him, putting off the old man and putting on the new (Eph. 4:17-32). We have privileges and duties in the local church (Acts 2:42 cf; 14:23; 20:7). If we should stumble, we can repent of our error, confess a wrong, and pray for forgiveness (Acts 8:13-24 cf; 19:17-20 f; 1 Jn. 1:5-2:2). Otherwise, we believe for nothing. (1Co15:2 ERV) We will live however if we stand fast in the Lord. (1Th 3:8 KJV)

The consequences of returning to our old godless life are beyond contemplation. Jesus said, “If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. John 15:6 ESV

Out of all those who left Egypt, only two entered the promised land. God transferred his irrevocable grace to others and today Gentiles are the beneficiaries. We must ensure God does not transfer his irrevocable grace from us, to others.
The law says you must be perfect to earn salvation, it says cursed is the one who does not confirm and do every word.mand thus, as Paul says, no one can be justified. by the law. Because of this fact.

since no one can earn salvation by being perfect, and God gives them the gift kNOWING they will never meet his standard, then why would God take that gift back if they do not meet that standards.

if the father in you example was God and he truely gave that car as a gift, he would not take it back if his son did wrong, because if he did, his gift was a lie, he gave it to try to earn his kids obedience, and when the kid failed, he took it back

thats what you are saying a God does. He decieved by telling us it is a gift, when in reality it is a down payment for us to earn it. By being good.

This is what the Bible says : -

The Bible says that maintaining faith requires great effort, a “hard fight.” (Jude 3, 5) Early Christians who had already accepted Christ were told: “Keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”—Philippians 2:12.

We are warned against serious sins that will keep a person from entering God’s Kingdom. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 5:19-21) If salvation could not be lost, such warnings would be meaningless. Instead, the Bible shows that someone who has been saved can fall away by returning to a practice of serious sin. For example, Hebrews 10:26 states: “If we practice sin wilfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left.”—Hebrews 6:4-6; 2 Peter 2:20-22.

Jesus emphasized the importance of maintaining faith by giving an illustration in which he likened himself to a vine and his followers to branches on that vine. Some of them would at one time demonstrate faith in him by their fruits, or actions, yet would later fail to do so and be “thrown out like a [fruitless] branch,” losing their salvation. (John 15:1-6) The apostle Paul used a similar illustration, saying that Christians who do not maintain their faith “will be lopped off.”—Romans 11:17-22.

Christians are commanded to “keep on the watch.” (Matthew 24:42; 25:13) Those who fall asleep spiritually, whether by practising “works belonging to darkness” or by not fully performing the works that Jesus commanded, lose their salvation.—Romans 13:11-13; Revelation 3:1-3.

Many scriptures show that those who have been saved must still endure faithfully to the end. (Matthew 24:13; Hebrews 10:36; 12:2, 3; Revelation 2:10) First-century Christians expressed joy when they learned that fellow believers were enduring in their faith. (1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3; 3 John 3, 4) Does it seem reasonable that the Bible would stress faithful endurance if those who did not endure would be saved anyway?

Only when his death was imminent did the apostle Paul feel that his salvation was assured. (2 Timothy 4:6-8) Earlier in his life, he recognized that he could still miss out on salvation if he gave in to fleshly desires. He wrote: “I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow.”—1 Corinthians 9:27; Philippians 3:12-14.

May God bless his word to our hearts.

okay guys im watching documentary about the northern crusades. what exactly is the problem. without those us in finland would never hear the gospel and not just finland but sweden and other places. it was all just paganism before that.

now we got no iron fist rule and look what happened, serpent seed doctrine going crazy. problem is when people arent forced to do something they wont do it. we already know this. just like in our lands we got laws against certain things and if you break them, you will be punished. if there are no laws and no punishments crime would go throug the roof.

same thing in christiantiy i see it clearly, when it was tough cultic like discipline people remained in order. now its every man is their own pastor and no community so what happens is everyone is allowed to co-exist. i blame baptists. (and im baptist myself) they are big on the live and let live separation of church and state idea. huge mistake that was i believe now. it was all down hill from that point on. it doesnt matter even if all those believers are fake in those state churches they still hear about Jesus and creates a culture of christianity and thats why people get saved more in the end. and it creates a more blessed country because people respect God more even secular so called people in finland in the 1600s were so respectful to God because lutheran church ruled with an iron fist here.

This is what the Bible says

whoever believes in him will NEVER perish but HaS ETERNAL life

you can’t have eternal life unless that life can never be lost, that would be conditional life

I know what you mean by the Lutheran Church ruled with an iron fist. I used to be Lutheran, before I got Saved. They thought they were 100% right, with their Very Ritualistic Order of Service, Infant Baptism, 10 minute sermons, and don't you dare to mention Born Again, that is works righteousness. I got out after I was saved, when the Board of Elders, Told Pastor his 15 minute sermons were too long, and he now only had 10 minutes, because after all we want to get out before 12:00 noon. I know consider them only about 50% correct.

I now go to a Community Church, that teach the Sermons for at Least an hour. He told Peter three time to FEED THE SHEEP, not maintain a Ritual. The Church that I go to now, are an evangelical style of Non-denominational Church, that DEFINITELY Teach OSAS, the correct way, with the Obedience being Part of Our LOVE, and it has nothing to do with SALVATION.

Correct, assuming we still believe at the end of our days and have not fallen away like we are told elsewhere.

The only person who ever ordered me about was my boss, and he paid me for the privilege.
I am actually not at all intimidating, never overbearing and very a easy going person, so to liken me to your boss is probably not correct.... what I am trying to understand is why you cannot, or will not explain salvation .... you are obviously familiar with the bible.

Wromg

eternal life means forever

you preach conditional life

well that is what you have

And you will fail to obtain it by your obedience

Those who are IN Christ Jesus do not fall away , they are kept by Gods power , but those who " claim " to be in Jesus , they are the ones who our LORD will say " Depart from Me , I never knew you "...

This is such a strange idea really, God knows the beginning and the end, why would God let someone live until they fell away, why not take them the day before, do they have to prove their worth to God?

So one day can terminate years of devotion in your view?

Is that not earning salvation?

Still waiting btw.......
