I hold to all five points of the TULIP, so no, I do not believe salvation can be lost.

Faith is what saves, we both agree here. But, faith w/o works is dead. Our works show others who we are working for.
Works of wood, hay and stubble.........how do they show salvation

James 1:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

This fourth type of person, similar to third, studies the Scriptures for themselves and see what they want to see and not the Original True Teachings. They than disseminate this False Teaching believing that they are among the few that have the Original Doctrine.

Summarised:
4) The few not part of the mainstream Denominational and Non-Denominational churches deceived by the Satan/Devil and deluded into believing that they are in the Truth and are actually devouring Elohim's/God's sheep.

Can you or any other member on these forums think of an essential fifth type of person?
How about the person who bad mouths sex and spends way to much time watching You Tube clips proclaiming the wonderful, albeit non existent, chastity of the Knights Templar?

You are not kind nor humble. The works you so proudly speak of are nothing but show. You take insult far too easily, and react to it with far too much pride. Then you wonder why nobody takes you seriously.
He is a joke....over a year ago we had a few rounds, he wrote me some big reconciliation letter behind the scenes and immediately started up with the same attitude, self righteous crap so I put him on ignore until yesterday....he will be right back on it because he still thinks he walks on water and is all that and a bad of spiritual chips.....I know I get mouthy sometimes bit can at least admit error and apologise once in a while.....not with this dude.....hell would freeze over first

It certainly doesn't conflict with

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

God doesn't need evidence.

Works at most can count as "evidence" and only before another "man" which has been stated many times.

Judges falsely said we should have assurance from our works opposed to Gods works in us.

Elo falsely said God needs proof.

Others with bias and blindfolds jumped in and caused division.

Eg is stating that EVIDENCE is not PROOF and this argument is "fruitless".

We are saved by grace and get our assurance from Gods promises and know we are His by His works in us.

Yes, we can see the "fruits" of the self righteous who look to SELF to justify themself as righteous.

We can also see the lack of works (which some may call fruits) in fellow brothers and sisters and not see what God sees.
@OneOfHis ...

I was just asking a simple question on what Jesus means we will know them their fruits...

What is Jesus saying ? , are we to judge them by their fruits , not as in pointing fingers , but as in discerning them ? , you kind of lost me in all the Scriptures you posted , I have my simple head on today :giggle:...

For what is worth I do not think Jesus was referring to fruits of the spirit but that false teachers will be known by their fruit.

False teachers breeds false converts.

No games.

So far you have made multiple false claims.

These will be first addressed, then we can dance around new topics after the old ones are accounted for.

1. You made a false claim sex IN MARRIAGE if not for the cause of CHILD BIRTH is sin.

This is false and a sort of fleshly bondage that comes from false understandings.

You can't hold on to that sort of garbage.

2. You claim verses implied works are REQUIRED for salvation when those very verses said the OPPOSITE entirely.

3. You cherry picked one verse speaking of how children of God demonstrate love BEFORE MAN and claim it is what justifies MAN BEFORE GOD.

Then when you were shown your error you play games.

I am not interested in the games.

Admit your error or address the scriptures and commentary I used to destroy your false teachings.

I love discussion, but with those who love the truth and want to learn.
Or those with sound doctrine who are gifted to teach.

You want to TEACH but you are using a false gospel, I will not beat around the bush with you. You need to see your error but more importantly change your mindset.

You have much to learn and need to stop acting as if you know something "7.7 billion" people don't.
This is very serious, as Salvation of Souls are at stake.

Hi EG...

Genuine question from me to you...

What does it mean when Jesus says " We will know them by their fruit " to your post above...
...xox...
The context was false teachers....but most of these clowns deny the context and hang their beliefs on that one verse....!!

Lol! I laugh when I see all these callow souls in here ganging up on others, not reading what they really said, not accepting refutation, attacking and libeling others daily, showing themselves as antinomians, all day long. Then when and if they even attend church they get to pretend they’re loving gracious “Christians” and put on their act. Then after church they return to their true selves, malicious, angry, haters of the brothers, unsound in life and doctrine.
I didn’t know you were a trip. One guy said “Your a trip.” Where? Hawaii?

I think of the prodigal son.

In the world
most likely in some sort of sin
not even involved in any body

can we know them by their fruit? (as a true child of God who is not walking as apposed to a non believer who is acting his nature?)
I am still having trouble with this one , like I said to OneofHis , I have my simple head on today...

Do you ever get days like that , when you just can`t grasp something , that is where I am at with this lol...

Anyone who says we have to "hold fast to our faith" in order to keep salvation IS saying Jesus needs help. Judges is one of those.
There are a few of those clowns on this site....and that view TOTALLY REJECTS and denies JESUS FINISHING AND COMPLETEING THE WORK OF FAITH IN US!!

oh sis i am sorry if i sounded long winded... i tried to add context to the conversation which you replied to then show what it doesnt mean (which some seemed to claim)

When I said we can see the fruits of the self righteous by them looking to themselves to be seen as righteous, that was my explination of what is being said about only the specific sort mentioned just before that verse.

_______
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
_____

this isnt about sinners or sinful believers not being good enough or showing enough fruit

it is specifically about false prophets who point to their works and arent build on solid foundation (Christ)

I gave you scripture states the exact opposite.

Work --- Human effort

Salvation is a gift it cannot be earned

Galatians 3:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Does Yeshua/Jesus have a Human aspect? Does Yeshua/Jesus practice the Law?
