he knows and yet he lied...
the Son does not lie. He & the Father are one.

try this on:

His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems;
and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
(Revelation 19:12)
this is said of Christ. He has a name "no one knows except Himself"
does the Father not know the name of the Son?
does God know this name, yes or no?
is omniscient God ignorant of this name?

The "glory" that "He emptied Himself of," what is your understanding these are, especially in the light of such Scriptures as Luke 2v40,52, Rom 1v3,4, 8v3, Heb 2v17,18, 4v15.

Thanks.
it will be a necessarily long post and i'm off to work now. i'll try to reply later this evening :)

Note: Jesus said he do whatever the Father do...
No one man has seen God and lived...
That is why the Son is the express image of the Father.
You missed the point! Jesus is the Son the virgin gave birth to and His title is Immanuel, which means "God with us." Immanuel is a title of Jesus, not us. This is what is meant by anyone not professing that Jesus (as God) has come in the flesh.
Following your first statement...We see a man who do whatever the Father do.
Nothing that you have said above disproves Jesus as being God.

i did not ignore the scriptures you provided...I replied to them and harmonize them.
What verse directly called Jesus God?
You didn't harmonize them, you distorted them! But, here is one of the scriptures that directly refers to Jesus as God:

================================================================
Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!”

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
==============================================================

Referring to the scripture above, when Thomas said to Jesus "My Lord and my God!" Jesus did not rebuke Thomas for calling Him God. In fact the Lord said "Thomas, you believe because you have seen Me. Blessed are those who believe but have not seen." If Jesus was in fact not God, He should have rebuked Thomas for referring to Him with that title.

As I mentioned in the previous post, by believing and teaching that Jesus is not God in the flesh, you make Jesus out to be a created being and you therefore have a false Jesus. What you are suggesting is the same thing that Mormons and JW teach, which is that Jesus is not God, but a created being.

When Jesus said, "I and My Father are One," the Jews knew that Jesus was making himself equal with God, which is why they picked up stones to stone Him. It is self explanatory in the scripture.

What you are doing is, instead of searching out the scriptures that we are providing and understanding them, you are providing apologetics to circumvent this truth. John said that, anyone who does not believe that Jesus as God has come in the flesh, is an antichrist. By not believing that Jesus is God in the flesh, you are guilty of this.
Exactly God is Spirit...and Jesus is Flesh..
you are trying to portray that the spirit can just go in and out in that body...
The Word became flesh.....its not like one time manifestation like in the old testament...
No I am not! Your not understanding. God the Father and Jesus are two individual persons of the Godhead. Jesus as God existed with God the Father before appearing in the flesh. As I said, Jesus had to become a human being in order to kin himself to the human race. In other words, He had to become a man born under the law and keep it in the flesh. And He being without sin, took the punishment for sin on our behalf.

I don't pretend to understand the makeup of God, but I can see from scripture that there are two individuals but are one God. Even
God the Father refers to His Son as God, which I also posted previously. But here it is again:

========================
But about the Son (Jesus) He (God the Father) says:

Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever,

and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom.

You have loved righteousness

and hated wickedness;

therefore God, Your God, has anointed You

above Your companions with the oil of joy.
==========================

God is his Father...he is the Son of God..
Philippians 2...He EMPTIED himself...but He can still call God his Father..
What you have said above does not disprove Jesus as being God. Jesus emptied himself of his power and position in order to become a human being in order to fulfill the Law as a human and then pay the penalty for all of our sins.

IF Jesus is God...He is immortal and thus cannot die...and paid for the sin...
But we see Jesus who was made lower than the angels to TASTE death for all men.
If Jesus had sinned while He was a human being, He could not have paid the penalty for our sins and He himself would not have been able to resurrect. To be clear, if Jesus had not died by being crucified, at some point He would have died a natural death just like everyone else. However, if Jesus had not been crucified and died a natural death, then He himself would have resurrected, but all believers would still be in their sins and without hope.

that's the point..The Word Became Flesh...
Once again, Jesus as the Word becoming flesh, does not nullify Him as being God.

Even the spirit in you cannot deny that God (Father)...and I quote
"God the Father sees all believers with the righteousness of Christ"
"Because of our Faith in His Son"
There is God and His Christ...
There's the Father and His Son.
You are correct, and they are both equal as God. You're trying to say that, because One is the Father and One is the Son, that they both cannot be God. The Father and Son, are simply in different roles but equal as God.

The reward for sin is death. Jesus paid the penalty for sins, but He himself was not guilty of sin. Since death only has power over those who have sin, then death had no power over Jesus and therefore death could not hold Him. And because of this He resurrected. However, since Jesus paid the penalty for sin, a debt which He didn't owe, He created a credit towards the debt of sin and He is crediting that payment to everyone who has faith in Him. And since believers are no longer guilty of sin, death no longer has power over us either and at the right time all believers will be resurrected just as our Lord was

Jesus taste death...only death cannot hold him forever..because God raised him the third day.
No! As I said earlier, if Jesus had sinned, then death could have kept Him. He would not have been resurrected in that case. God raised Jesus because He was without sin and therefore death could not hold Him.

I am having hard time to understand that you believed in his death and resurrection if you believed that death has no power over him...its like he didn't die.
No, it is because you lack spiritual understanding. Death had no power over Jesus because He had committed no sin. We know that Jesus died and His body laid in the tomb for 3 nights and 3 days, while His spirit was down in Sheol/Hades. After that time, His spirit then returned to His body which was raised immortal and glorified, just as all believers will be.

Before the was a man there was the Word...
And the Word was with God, equal with God..and Was God....
That was....
and the Word became Flesh.....to taste death for all men.
So, what don't you understand about what you typed above? You yourself said that "Jesus was equal with God and was God." If the word was with God and the Word was God, you can come to no other conclusion that Jesus as the word was and is God.

It is important to understand the principles of these things, which the Holy Spirit reveals to those who diligently search out His word.

Blessings in Christ!

Thanks for the suggestion...I too have suggestion...Please watch the video..
or read the book of hebrew...but when you read it this time...try to replace the word "God" with the Word "Father". and you will see it clearly
Sir, I don't need to watch the video. The person doing the video is not going to tell me anything that I haven't already told you. If I was speaking with him, I would tell him the same things that I am telling you. I have been studying the word of God for over 45 years inside and out on all Biblical subjects.

It is necessary for those who are in Christ to study the word of God, so that we can contend for the truth when we hear and read false teachings, which is what you are proclaiming.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work."

You can continue in the belief that Jesus is not God and suffer the consequences. But as for me, I know that Jesus is my great God and Savior, just as the scripture states:

"as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." - 2 Timothy 3:16

The verse above is telling us that Jesus Christ is our great God and Savior. Do you believe that or not?

is it every time someone shows you scripture proving Christ is God, that you brush it aside and bring up some other verse more suited to your understanding?

what's Titus 2:13-14 explicitly calling Jesus Christ? can we get that down pat before we move on?
it's clearly calling Jesus "
our great God and Savior" is it not? and it's saying He is calling out and purifying a people specifically "for Himself" which are "His very own" is it not?
so whose people are we called? the people of an exalted man or the people of God? and if we are the people of God and we are the people of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ -- who is He? is it not clear?
I said..the Word WAS god...
but the thing you stopped there.....
If you continue...The word BECAME flesh....

Titus 2:1-14..' The Saviour...

Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Act 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Act 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Who raised up jesus...
Act 10:40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

omniscient - Did he know the day he would come back?

Emptied himself with his glory - Jesus said now Father glorify me...with the glory i had with thee...

Match John 1 to Philippians 2.
Exactly! Which means that before Jesus appeared in the flesh, He shared godly glory with the Father.

Actually, you've not understood a word I've said.
Jesus was God.
This is the perfect example of why Denominationalism fractures the truth of God in Christ. There are Denominations that teach Jesus was just a man, who was favored by God and with His blessing the man Jesus performed miracles. Anbaptists believe this. As do Jehovah Witness.

Jesus was God. That's it.
But God is the Trinity. Miss this point and you have an idol.

Early one morning, the birds were chirping outside the widow. As always, I got up and began to practice spiritual devotion. As I read the Lord’s words, “The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment” (Mark 12: 29-30), I could not help remembering that during meetings, the pastors and elders often told us that God is triune. And they also quoted the Lord Jesus’ words, “” (Matthew 28:19) …… more

There are popular doctrines about God.
oneness / unitarian / trinity/monotheism.
Is Jesus God or Man.
Please watch the video and let us discuss.
Not interested in the video, but the answer is both, God, and man.

Good day Watcher2013!

The question to you then, is do you believe that Jesus is God who also became a human being or was He always just a created being?

Who is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last? Are those titles only to be applied to God the Father or does Jesus also share those titles?

My point in all of these posts, is to make it known to you that the Father is God and Jesus is God. They share the same nature belonging to the Godhead.

This poster has already been given the truth. But he continues to believe his false doctrine. So we should leave him to his cultic devices. Those who hold to false doctrines invariably refuse to give them up even after being shown the truth. That is called WILFUL BLINDNESS.

I would say that is the reverse. However, as mentioned earlier, the faith statement of CC is that of the Trinitarian doctrine. One does not know how freely we are able to discuss this topic if we are not Trinitarian.
I'll say this. "I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior."
The trinity is throughout scripture. Many times over. It's in the early church long before the RCC existed. I have scripture samples but most antitrinitarians are blind to them.
