God is indeed good, and He is with you both. :) But you should capitalize His name out of respect.

Thank you so much it's been fine for a few years but there is a time for everything and we have prayed for god to send someone who can help and he has thank god xx
When you use lower-case "g" you are referring to a different god. Uppercase "G" refers to our God. :)

Psalm 73:26 New International Version (NIV)
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

Our flesh is brittle and constantly reminds us that time on Earth is short or as scripture says just a vapor. In our weaknesses God is strong. In health God is our strength and our portion. God is in the end everything we need. He is the God of miracles (El ‘oseh pele’) He is the God who heals (Jehovah-Rapha) He is the provider (Jehovah-Jireh) He is sufficient (El Shaddai) He is our peace (Jehovah-Shalom) He is always with us (Jehovah Shammah)
He is love and our protector (Abba Father). God is the great I AM. He is the Alpha and Omega in the beginning and the end of time, God is there. God is eternal but chooses to work within mankind out of love for mankind. The difficult times are often those times that bring us closer to God as we are reminded we ultimately do not have control and many matters in life are within the will and hands of God. This brings us into a worship state where we release ourselves completely to God, and realize we can have peace in God's protection. It is in this knowledge we have peace but not a self will of peace but a supernatural one. The Spirit within calming the storm of the mind. Giving us rest and assurance that whatever we may face, we will be strong because it is God in us that gives us our strength.

May God be with you, your husband and family and the prayers blanket yall in the warming love of God, the encouragement of others, and the healing that we all are asking God to do. God bless.

Yes, God is good indeed! He is our great Physician and there is nothing too hard for Him.

I pray for safe surgery for your husband Asa. By Jesus’s stripes, he is completely healed! All things will be well in your family in Jesus name.

I don't know you or the type of personality you have. But I will encourage you to be a good caretaker and be patient. You must realize he may not be able to work for a good period of time which means if you don't work already you may need to wait tables or something to help provide for the family in the mean time. Do not complain how tired or frustrated you get because trust me no matter how tired or frustrated you are is nothing compared to how he will be knowing he will be unable to help provide for his family while he recovers.

I’m sorry to hear about Asa’s health condition. I’m praying that God will touch him with His healing hand and provide strength in a miraculous way according to His perfect will. May He bless your family with His amazing grace and help with the upcoming surgery as you lean upon Him.

Isaiah 53: 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
