I’m simply saying God changed His mind based upon Nineveh’s response to His word. You are the one who seems to be claiming God lied. Did God lie to bring repentance?
He does not change his eternal decree. This was part of the eternal decree.

Sooo, God lied to them to get Nineveh to repent? Foe God’s eternal decree to be met, God sometimes has to lie? Wow man!

God cannot sin. Are you saying he did?

I’m saying God changed His mind. Actually, that’s what Scripture is saying as well. Again, God has all authority to change His mind on matters as man responds to His word.

But he decreed to do so in his unchangeable eternal decree.

Completely backwards.

Ezekiel 18
18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and live ye.
You have more faith in the fallen nature than me. My position is that God provides the necessary means to obey this commandmant. Therefore, there is no grounds for boasting.

Praise be to God!

Please explain this “eternal decree” since this phrase is not biblical.

Can God change His mind?

...don't think so.
I'm not sure how you think this refutes my position.

God provides the necessary spiritual equipment to be obedient to his righteous commandments. Praise be to God that saves those he elects to salvation!

Genesis 3:15 is a false teaching? Explain please.
No word of God is a "false teaching". God prophesied that the elect would be vindicated by the Savior who stomps the Serpent to death. This is consistent with the Reformed storyline of Scripture. His righteousness accounts for our lack of righteousness. Praise be to Jesus !

God’s eternal decree, for “known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world” (Acts 15:18). “Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will” (Eph. 1:11).

I don’t see the word elect in Genesis 3:15. 🤔

You’re not adding to Scripture are you? Or do you read from the Calvin’s 2020 New Addition Bible?

Fallen mankind has fell far short of the image of God. Jesus' righteousness makes up for the gap. Anything less is Pelagianism or semi-Pelagianism. No matter how hard the person tries, he cannot measure up to God's righteous standards.

While believers strive to obey God, they will inevitably fall short.

Praise be to Jesus, the LORD of all that belong to HIM! He has saved those that belong to HIM.

Genesis 3:15 discusses the "seed of the serpent" versus the "seed of the woman". The elect belong to the seed of the woman. The rest are seed of the serpent.

It was God’s will that Nineveh should be overthrown in forty days until they responded to the word of destruction and repented. Since they repented, God changed His mind. That’s Bible. God has authority to change his mind.

There are a few passages that states that God will not change His mind, and everyone of these have to do with His long term plans for the nation of Israel.

According to this, only the generation line of Christ we’re the elect in the OT. Yes?

@7seasrekeyed And again, more deflection. All this aggressive rhetoric to avoid one simple question.

One more time, what biblical basis is your hatred of the doctrine built upon?

Let me remind you, claiming you do not hate the doctrine is out of alignment with your above statements, that those who subscribe to it are guilty of idolatry and deceived by doctrines of demons. 👇

They’re your statements, explain them. Surely one who so adamantly opposes such a doctrine could logically, biblically explain and would jump at the chance to do so. Less they have no clue what drives the hatred, perhaps that’s your problem 🤷‍♂️

you really are quite stuck on yourself aren't you

you have not responded to one thing I said to you but here you are again with the same nonsense

since you decided to use the word hate, go explain it to yourself

and stop confusing my posts with other posters

you are obviously a Calvinist even though you deny being one

my dog doesn't rag on things the way you do
