Somebody had to do the joke. I just happened to do it before anybody else thought about it.

Amen....when its quiet I can listen better.
but its better if people can actually write things down so I can read it so I can 'listen' to them later curled up in bed.
Thank you Lord for scripture.
R u a good listener, do you hang on to the words of others, not allowing the mind to wonder? Do you think about what you will say in response as they are sharing? Are you interested in their minds and what they have to share. Are you fully invested and interested as you listen?
Full disclosure...
It is a struggle for me, and I am reminded that those most rare and sacred to me are those that listen. It is so comforting to have a caring ear.
So today and every day is a great day to listen to the One who listens best, our Lord and Savior.
Brothers and Sisters, may we all draw near to Him, not for what He can do for us, but for who He is.
Awesome, how encouraging. Way to be brother.Yes, yes, and yes.
Awesome, how encouraging. Way to be brother.
Amen!!!Thank you ma'am, but God gets the credit. He made me that way.![]()
Sounds like are guarding your heart.I am a very focused listener when the person speaking to me is not mucking me around..
Oops...guarding your heartSounds like are guarding your heart.
Well, I respect that u allow peeps to vent, to share and that you genuinely care about peeps. It is so hard not to respond if they say a lot about different things cuz by the time they get finished my old mind doesn't remember it all, lol. I def try to listen and quiet my mind so I focus on what they are saying. It for me, takes practice. I think the key is to genuinely care about them. Like i said though, somewhere else, monologue talkersI try to prioritize listening to the things that actually matter first, then maybe move onto the less relevant topics last.
I give them the floor when they are talking, uninterrupted, without cutting in or adding opinions. I think its important to just let people vent sometimes or just express themselves freely. Then when its my turn to say something i might ask a question, or give an answer.
Listening isn't just about waiting for my turn to give a response. Sometimes i can keep an entire conversation on a person and ask them
how they plan to resolve their own problem that they are talking about. I usually do that to people who are holding me captive in a
conversation i didn't really want to be a part of though. Particularly those who create drama or those who never really seek solutions
for their problems who only want an audience.
