I can say some think too highly of themselves and have "arrived..."
Many think embracing the doctrine of osas means you've arrived.
No, you've arrived when you start acting like Christ.

"4Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar" - 1 John 2:4

"knowledge puffs up while love builds up. 2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know." - 1 Corinthians 8:1-2

No, the Sermon on the Mount is to be preached with all of its rigors to abolish any Hope's of self righteousness.
Well, you're half way there.
It's also teaching that orders the footsteps of those made righteous in Christ.

I hope you find your peace my dear brother.
Not sure who you're talking to, but this is how they, or any Christian, finds the peace of God:

"9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." - Philippians 4:9

Or was Paul just wasting ink because the peace of God is with you when you don't put the Lord's teachings into practice?

That is new teaching to you, I see.
No. Nothing new under the Sun.
Nothing of value, according to your doctrine, everyone is doomed except you...

Whats amazing is that, you don't see yourself...you cant learn, because you know all...(or think you do).
You try to keep a law you cannot keep, break one break them all.

What do yo lack? (its a rhetorical question.)

You 'know' God and Christ when you are able to act like them.
Arriving and knowing, are in no way synonymous

Now now. Luckily (I speak for myself also) we are made righteous because God justified us, and that I believe is grace defined. We all have our shortcomings and imperfections. Please be careful not to use a self made standard with your judgement. Legalism is the gospels enemy. I do many many imperfect things constantly. You might even say that I am a habitual prodigal son. If he is a child of God he is equipped to overcome.
I understand your zeal in spreading what you believe is the truth of the gospel.
I have discovered that the sin of a child of God is designed to draw him back to God in appreciation, love and humility.
What about loving your enemies? Praying for those who despite fully use you? And all the other impossible feats mentioned in the Sermon on the Mount?
The Sermon on the Mount is not to be preached as a tortuous pathway to salvation. No, the Sermon on the Mount is to be preached with all of its rigors to abolish any Hope's of self righteousness.
I hope you find your peace my dear brother.
I am a women lol...
And yes , I hear what you are saying , but I am talking about the doctrine he believes in , not in him as a person...

Prior to my conversion several years ago while still attending the Roman Catholic church, I subscribed to NOSAS and I had no joy either and was miserable! Fear and bondage to IN-security is no way to live the Christian life. :cautious:

Amen! I did not experience real joy until after my conversion and I did not subscribe to OSAS/eternal security of the believer/preservation of the saints until after my conversion as well. :)

That's why we should stay in Christ.
You lose the life that is eternal and which was secured through one act of righteousness by Christ if/when you stop believing/trusting in that one act of righteousness.

You keep interpreting 'eternal' as 'I can't lose it', when the Bible makes it clear that what is eternal is Christ's life itself that you receive (as opposed to the 'life' that the old covenant gave which ended with your next sin). This is all spelled out in the Bible. But our wonderful pop theologians can't see it. Just like they can't see the plain words about tithing either. And so they mislead multitudes in the church who aren't as noble as the Berean's were.

So absolutely true for the person who continues to believe just as the Bible exhorts us to do.
These promises are for believers, not ex-believers, and those who never believed.

You shift the burden of responsibility for salvation from Christ to the Christian.

That is why your dogma fails completely.

I would be absolutely miserable if I spent my Christian life always worrying about whether or not I was going to stay in Christ/stop believing in Christ etc..

The gospel took root in my heart several years ago and it’s too engrained in me and I’m too convinced. Praise the Lord for His mercy, His grace, His gift of eternal life and His preservation power! :)

Amen!

He is solid ground not shifting sand.

He will never leave us, nor forsake us..... we have His promise.

To sell Christ Jesus short, make a mockery of His sacrifice and work as insufficient to save....... day and day out on this thread is a travesty.

H!
You've arrived when your love for God compels you to be obedient.
Arrived as in a mature Christian seasoned in the truth.
Arrived to me means Glorified.

No one has been glorified, save One (The Christ).

Justified by faith, Sanctification (Romans 12:1-2), awaiting Glorification,
arrival is where ever He is we will be there also, "The Father House", arrived

God Bless

How is the Bible Software working out?

I will give you a tip. Do you know you can find any word in the bible even if you do not know how to spell it, as long a you know the letter it starts with and the letter it ends with.

Like Paul's friend who's name starts with O an ends with US. In the normal search I put in O*us, and you are telling it to find every word that starts with O and ends with US. There are only two names that search will pull up. See if you can figure out which name I mean. Here is a clue, Paul said he encourages me.

EVERYBODY, I found a remarkable verse. It identifies the ruins in the CITY OF DAVID, where they have been digging lately.

Amos 9:11-15 (NKJV)
11 "On that day I will raise up The Tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; {Has not HAPPENED YET, but it is about to be FULFILLED, that DAVID, has built on the Threshing Floor.}
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name," Says the LORD who does this thing.
13 "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.
14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
15 I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them," Says the LORD your God.

You shift the burden of responsibility for salvation from Christ to the Christian.
Believing in order to receive Christ's work in salvation is not a burden.
In fact, the Bible calls it 'entering into rest':

"Now we who have believed enter that rest" - Hebrews 4:3

But it is our responsibility to enter that rest:

"make every effort to enter that rest" - Hebrews 4:11

Where does Paul command the Christian that one must abide in Christ? He sits on the throne of your heart? Where’s that at? You’re making things up as you go.
So, walking in Christ (Colossians 2:6 KJV) is not the same as abiding in Christ? Is not our walk in Christ to be an "abiding" (means "continual") walk? Yes, unless you are OSAS - then that walk must be occasional.

And how can King Jesus (1 Timothy 6:15 KJV) possibly "dwell in your heart" (Ephesians 3:17 KJV) but not be "enthroned" in your heart?

Does not a king sit on a throne? And does not a king expect his subjects to obey him? Ask King Jesus about that in Luke 6:46 KJV.
