I hate to be the cruel realist, but I don't think any of this will change. People are going to be people.
Already now they gather whenever they can, and have not really stuck to social distancing since this began. When it all reopens it will probably be partying 24/7.
I am considering to stop wearing mask when we're going to get groceries, because people seem to think I have the plague and am getting treated as such, some people act panicky around me like I have cooties, and this is because most people here haven't taken to wearing masks (almost nobody wears them). So ignorance and stupidity combined.

I am sorry that you are being treated poorly and that you are witnessing careless and reckless behavior.
Much of what you said is sad but perhaps true too. You sound like my Mama, she says she is a realist, I say she is a pessimist, lol. I tend to float in the unrealistic plain, too optimistic. We need your grounding, sis. We also need hope. So in between is always good. But He does tell us who this world is full of, self and satan.
Heavy sigh but also great hope, we know He is working. I am so grateful for Phil 4:4-9.
Meanwhile here in the UK there is a rumour spread by a certain Newspaper that our government is going to almost normalise life in three stages by the end of June. That is EXCEPT for people over 70 who will be kept in isolation for 18 months. I am 72 at present
and I'm getting flaky after a few weeks I will be stark raving mad by next year if this happens. But my guess is that myself and many more will suddenly undergo an age regression. Someone will make a fortune selling fake birth certificates. I reckon I could pass for age 69 at a pinch

Good for you! Posting positive thoughts about this is biblical. Paul in Philippians 4 did just that-while in jail.
Ive already been mad so, I know what its like lol. Now everyone knows, and everyone can empathise with stay at home mums...the good thing with stay at home parents is, if you do have two of them, they might actually start talking to each other again.
