There are so many changes being implemented by the U.S. society due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Here are just a few:

1. Medical staff are wearing personal protective equipment(PPE)

Shouldn't they have been doing this even before the discovery of the Coronavirus? Why did it take so long for hospitals to realize their greatest asset, their people, need to be protected? Why did it take a worldwide pandemic to discover that hospitals were scrimping on PPE to save a few bucks for their shareholders?

2. The U.S. government loosened non-essential regulations

If they were non-essential, why were they there in the first place?

3. Non-essential businesses closed

Again, if these are non-essential businesses, why does the U.S. Small Business Administration go out of their way to offer considerable loans to start them? Maybe instead of encouraging everybody and their brother to open a restaurant to avoid making minimum wage, we should bring back the good jobs we've given away to other countries.

4. We started making things in the U.S.

Wow, what a novel idea! Our elected leaders finally realize we need to be in charge of our own supply chain instead of relying on countries who hate us.

5. Churches are finally serving outside the four walls

People from all over the U.S. are lining up to receive food packages. Those forced into unemployment have the greatest need, and churches from all over are stepping up to deliver.

From pastors to lowly parishioners, church folks are heeding God's call to help the needy. Jesus gave us this example:

He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
John 13:5

So why do we want to go back to the way it was before Covid-19; the time when we all crammed into an expensive building for an hour a week and served no one? Imagine how much more we can help not only strangers but other Christians if we are willing to remain outside the four walls.

I don't think it is time for this while we are trying to corral this monster. I think the President want's to keep the death toll under 60,000 for sure!!! He kind of promised. told us possibly 50,000 or less definitely less than 60,000. Let's keep him true to his word...

Nope. What is this protecting them from? How? Prove it. If you can show this "PPE" offers any level of protection, I'd be surprised. If you can prove it offers a minimal level of protection (extremely doubtful), it will be easily demonstrable that the cost, inconvenience and limitations it imposes on the medical staff doing their job far exceed any benefit gained. This situation is a cold, not the Black Death.

Just because the government considers something essential to them, doesn't mean it's essential for the people. Some governments consider public schools more essential than churches. What a joke. The government shutting down any private business is illegal according to the Constitution, and I hope all the tyrants involved in this crime will be brought to justice.

While it's good that churches are helping people in the community, do you really think this wouldn't have happened in Uncle Sam hadn't banned churches? The churches would have helped people anyway. It is a criminal act and (yet another) act of war against God, that some jurisdictions have banned churches, as if these are less essential than hospitals.

So why do we want to go back to the way it was before Covid-19; the time when we all crammed into an expensive building for an hour a week and served no one? Imagine how much more we can help not only strangers but other Christians if we are willing to remain outside the four walls.

While it is true this is an opportunity to witness, the covid-1984 hoax is an evil act, and the conspirators should be brought to justice. If God brings good of this conspiracy, it does not mean the credit should go to the evil men with evil intent behind this wicked scheme.

Imagine how much more we can help not only strangers but other Christians if we are willing to remain outside the four walls.

Do you know that many of the people who followed after Jesus were only interested in the tasty meal of fish and loaves?

So while it is good to serve outside we still need to have times when we gather in the church to praise God. And to get spiritual food. (Not at all saying you can only get spiritual food at church, since you can also do that at home, as is the case now due to covid)

Every country needs to do this and grow their own economy, that way so many people wouldn't be flocking to foreign countries to seek work.

When we saw patients with certain communicable diseases, we did. What was different was we didn’t have an infectious disease starting to circulate in society, spread through droplets and aerosols, with such a long period (12 days) before all infected patients showed symptoms. The number for the flu is 2 days. Had nothing to do with scrimping on PPE.

You seemed to be saying that church meetings served no good purpose, and the church should close it's doors and only go out and feed the people physical food.

I pointed out that we should do that without neglecting the other.

So while it is good to serve outside we still need to have times when we gather in the church to praise God. And to get spiritual food.

I just found it terribly ironic the other day because I read an article praising New Zealand as a leader in the measures they've taken in dealing with the coronavirus, but that "New Zealand is a wealthy, island nation with an isolated population, and these are circumstances the USA can't replicate."

I couldn't help but wonder what you would think of New Zealand being called a "wealthy" nation since you often mention the Americans as being rich and out of touch with reality.

some of nz is wealthy but I wonder what they mean by it...yes we are rich in natural resources, got plenty of land that good for growing food and sea, I wouldnt say nz is a poor country but sadly some people do live in poverty, however even the poorest in nz have somewhere to live.

in terms of church culture....if your church has home groups or church is IN your home then you just adapt.
In China for example the churches have always been underground because their govt forbade them to meet even before covid-19 or only in govt approved church buildings.
