Jesus Christ knew that Peter would be saved after fully grasping the resurrection:
Luke 22:32
[32] But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
On another note; Why would Jesus pray that Peter’s faith would not fail?
Meditate on that.
Nothing to meditate on.
Peter denied Jesus and he was saved and stayed saved
This in no way denies this.
It speaks to failure and return... the whole Bible is filled with human failure but then that does not jive with your works based I reach perfection message.
And the Lord Said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift
you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have
returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
