Does God answer prayer? Is it a change of mind?
He changed His mind concerning Nineveh.

10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

God causes things to happen that would have never happened, but because we prayed, God made a way.
But he doesn't change. His decree is perfect. Should you rethink this?

Not necessarily. He predestined Nineveh to repent and when they did he fulfilled his plan for them.

You should rethink how you interpret scripture. You base whole belief systems off one verse. No good.

Nope, complete, not lacking. We now have a Savior who knows what it’s like to suffer the infirmities of being in a body of flesh.

In what verse in Jonah does it state this? Scripture is clear. God declared destruction against Nineveh. Nineveh repented. God repented and did not do what He said He was going to do.

Just so you don't think he ever sinned. Have at it...

Did God say He was going to overthrow Nineveh in forty days? Did God overthrow Nineveh in forty days? Why not? Did God lie? Or did God change His mind?

It was part of his moving them to repentance. Do you think he was lying?

Nope, He simply changed His mind based upon Nineveh’s response to His word.

Are you saying He lied to get them to repent?

God worked in them to will and do of his good pleasure.

Perilous times speaks of difficult dangerous times (and deception), which Christians are now living in just before the Rapture of the Church. The world economy is now collapsing due to the noisy pestilence world wide. The scriptures teaches us that there will be more tares than wheat in the Endtimes Church (Matthew 13:33, Revelation 3:14-22). It says that those who call themselves Christians will have a form of Godiness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

My question is? What does it mean to have a form of Godliness (those who call themselves Christians), but denying the power thereof?
A cross reference to 2Timothy 3:5 is where scripture commands us to withdraw from ones walking disorderly and not according to the Christian tradition received from the apostles (2 Thessalonians 3:6)

Any pretence of godly devotion would be exposed as hypocrisy by wicked works. Any deviation from the inspired word of truth, teaching unscriptural doctrine, not doing the will of God or performing ungodly acts would qualify as denying the power of godly devotion. Some of the most ungodly acts take place under the veil of religion and have done throughout history down to today.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Godly people, those that follow the truth is what keeps the world getting along, and the problems down, for they are following the ways of God which is to love people, and spread love, even loving your enemies, and the poor and needy get fed.

If the ratio is higher, or way up in number of people who go by the truth, and not hypocrisy, then the world will be a better place, and the higher the ratio the better the condition of the world.

Look at the time of the Little House on the prairie days, or even not too far back with the 1950's in how they had more respect for people, and got along better, although sin was creeping in but it was not so bad yet.

People today are worse in selfishness, and self exaltation, as years ago, and as time goes on people get worse according to the ways of the flesh, which in the flesh dwells no good thing for it is in opposition to the Spirit.

Perilous times will come because of the sin condition of the world that they are highly selfish, highly arrogant, and self exalting, and lovers of themselves, and without natural affection, thinking highly of themselves, and not caring for people as they have in the past.

Which Jesus said since iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold, for it is selfishness, and arrogance, and people will not get along with each other that well in a society like that.

Because of the heightened sin condition where they became highly selfish, and arrogant, the world will not be a better place as they are going against each other more in hatred, and arrogance, and fighting, which will lead many to not care about other people, and wars break out more, and now the new age movement plan.

And because of that people look at each other as they all want to exalt themselves, and care about themselves, and they stop caring about the feelings of others, and then they exalt themselves with the attitude you do not care about me, then I do not care about you, and get all you can and forget everyone else.

And they view the nations as being that way, and the religions as being that way, and Christianity as being that way, and leaders being that way, and everybody is that way pushing for power, wanting to have their own way.

So people not getting along with each other, and fighting with each other, because the sin condition increased will cause perilous times to come upon earth.

And this will affect many who claim Christ as many are hypocritical, and lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, and having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, for they deny the Spirit leading them to be able to abstain from sins, and are ever learning, and never able to come to the truth, but hold unto sins and believe they still have salvation.

The decrease in godliness among those that claim Christianity causes an increase in the world behaving wrongly, and being against each other.

The more Christianity appears hypocritical the more the world gets worse in sin condition for the standard of the world is slipping and decreasing in number of people that are godly, and the world starts turning from fundamental Christianity as the answer, and the world eventually embraces the new age movement interpretation of the Bible.

And that will cause the most perilous times to come for it will pave the way to the New Age Christ and by peace he shall destroy many, and the world will go against all people that oppose them.

Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Pro 30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Pro 30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

The last generation before Jesus comes back, which will be the most selfish, and arrogant, generation, because as time goes on they go more by the flesh for that is the direction they are going.

And the counterculture movement was not that long ago, and the age of the youth has decreased in age as time went on of them not wanting to listen to their parents.

But the Bible says parents do not provoke your children to wrath, and many parents do not act like they did years ago, so the children will not act like they did years ago.

Some people have a form of godliness, for they claim Christ, go to Church, show some kind of goodness and attribute it to living for God, but they fall short of being godly for they deny the power thereof, for they will not allow the Spirit to lead them for they still want the ways of the flesh, although they toned it down but did not give it up.

Christianity is not viewed in a good way by many people, and it affects the world in their behavior, for Christianity is the standard of the world in goodness, and morals, and if they slip the world slips.

Of course Christianity can never slip, but many people that claim Christ slip, and the world lumps them all together that claims Christianity regardless of the denomination, which the hypocrites are more than the ones that are godly, so they view Christianity according to that majority, and many believe that the ones that appear godly are hypocritical but they do not show their hypocrisy in public.

These, as far as I can tell, are the ones who faithfully attend a "church" corrupted by false doctrine and are deceived into thinking that simply having asked Jesus to come into their hearts is what makes them "Godly". Then this person, filled with false doctrine, aims to bring others into the false church with a form of Bible speak as trained by said false church. They themselves have likely become two-fold more a child of hell than they were to begin with and seek (through blindness) to add more children of hell into the earth.

Quite honestly, the most detestable people I have encountered are not unbelievers, but professing believers corrupted by false doctrine.
