Asking questions at the end of each story, registers well the story in children't memory.
Till what age children would like to answer questions?

Sometimes, it's nice to just read for fun, but quizzes are a fun interactive way to learn the Bible. Honestly, any form of interaction makes the story stick better. Maybe it's an arts and crafts project! Maybe kids get an M&M or a goldfish for every question they get right! Another thing, when they get old enough, or if your kids are already, is LTC! Kids get to work and study together and learn the Bible. If your church doesn't offer it, I believe there are online options, or you can join another church. Bible Bowl and Bible Quiz are most popular.

But overall, any form of interactive content works best. If your kids like the screen there's a bunch of videos on youtube which are fun to watch, and quite enthralling for the littles who love ipads!!

Teach then the meaning of words and how they are used .And have them give examples of what they think there usage

Many adults have no idea how the word prophecy and how many different manners it was given, needed to interpret by rightly dividing. or the meaning of the word apostle.

New meanings in violation to . . do not to add other meaning to one word. They have been added making the word of God without effect. Reveal the different prescriptions needed to rightly divide .

You can lead children to the water of the word but on God can sent a thirst for a drink of the gospel . Prayer and fasting (bringing the gospel)

Then perhaps the Holy Spirit will work in them .

We are to call no man Teacher in the way of infallibility on earth. One is our teaching father in heaven. When sharing the parable which some call bedtimes stories explain how the hidden gospel meaning can be found. Make it a personal adventure .Teach them how to fish .

Encourage them to eat the bread of life. Some are picky eaters. They need more prayer

Some children still seek after answers from the father as daily bread .

Because we are become children of God, we should always ask the most honest of questions, not as many here do, loaded ones.

yes a few questions at the end to see if they understood it is good.
I read Bible up to age 11 but for the younger ones 6-8 theres different activities you can do, like colouring in, songs and dance, memory verses..
acting out the story is usually a winner if you provide costumes they can dress up.

Any kind of competition is good for kids. Quizzes, tests, scripture memorization.

I memorized the 23rd psalm when I was 9 because the first one to memorize the whole thing won a prize.

I did it for competition, not because I loved the bible. And that one memorized passage stuck with me for my whole life.

I would say to never underestimate the Power of scripture, especially when memorized.

Also, songs were a big impact as well. Memorized songs...

Jesus loves me, this I know
for the bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
they are weak but He is Strong.

Yes, Jesus Loves me.
Yes, Jesus Loves me.
Yes, Jesus Loves me, the bible tells me so.

Simple childs song. But super powerful if you memorize it and believe it.

I went to a baptist church that did this every Sunday, it works a treat, pun intended. They would give treats to the person that remembered their bible verse. I didnt like church, but i loved the smarties, lion bar, etc so i always remembered the verse required for that week. What is smart is the teachers were sowing seeds, i go to another church now, that gives things for purposes of faith but not sweets. 24 years later i am in faith an the seed sown by the first church stick on me like glue.

Asking questions is a great teaching technique for children or whoever.
