We know that the dark web makes up most of the web. Everything illegal and evil goes on there, unimaginable things. I will never personally go there but I have read about it. Why are the things that go on there not a concern for most people, we have laws for a reason but people get away with anything on there. Why can't our government shut it down or are they also a part of it. We usually only worry about things that affect us personally and I'm honestly so sick of it. Most people don't even care about human trafficking either, they obviously are against it but do nothing to help or forget about it. If most people demand change, change will happen.

I don't think it's as simple as just blocking the dark web and deleting it or that would have happened by now. The dw is tolerated because there is no other choice to because of the way the Internet is designed.

Basically, it's too late to go back and prevent it from forming in the first place because it would require redesigning the way the Internet functions and consolidating absolute control of it into the hands of a handful of entities.

Even if that did happen, it wouldn't work the way they wanted it to because the technology already exists that makes the dw possible. What would happen in this scenario is create parallel world wide webs, not shut it down.

The dw is heavily monitored because, as you correctly stated, a lot of illegal activity occurs there. So accessing it would only draw suspicion to an individual.

Bottom line is good people do good things and bad people do bad things. People have a sin problem and need Jesus. That's the only way to cure human condition, is by the power and grace of God.

About the dark web making up most of the web? Because most of the people I associate with would have no idea of what you are talking about. If it was that apparent on the internet I would have run across this and I have'nt. Then you went on to talk about trafficking. Here i n the U.S.A. We have groups and committees for everything Sheba. Google it. I'll bet that they have a cause for that where you live.. That is really cool that you have a cause. Makes life worth living...

Well I realize that there are groups and comittees but it’s not a top priority for most. I just really believe in human rights but when I look around the world it’s not apparent everyone does. There are so many people going missing on the regular and the news never report these cases either. For instance with this coronavirus that affects everyone causes panic and suddenly we are all in this together it just shows how selfish humanity is and only worry when everyone is affected. I can already see this selfishness be a precedent for when the tribulation actually happens. People won’t care for Christians who suffer either aslong as it doesn’t affect them.

It's easy to sit around and criticize and assume and judge.
The truth is most people wouldn't have the funds to donate, or even have skills to help. Also it surely must be considered that not everyone willing to "help" has a pure motive. So how far you can trust people further up the chain grows smaller and smaller.
Also most people have jobs, families, financial struggles. Perhaps their own health or mental issues. There's a lot in life to tackle as it is.
Many simply don't have what it takes to face the reality of some things. Not everyone is made the same and able to handle the same things.
There's also an endless stream of things to fight against. Everyone wants time and money for an endless group of causes. And by picking the "wrong" cause some "humanitarian" will be there to criticize you for not backing the one they chose.

One must love the irony of calling oneself a humanitarian while also judging millions of others and condemning them for not living to your personal standard.
Which brings me to another issue that may deter people. Many social justice warriors/humanitarians love to rant and criticize that others don't do enough. Do you really believe promoting this attitude of criticism would encourage others to see your point of view?
I've always found such crusaders to be the biggest enemies of their cause.

I never mentioned that you have to help financially, you can make change by raising awareness and nowadays with social media at the tips of our fingers we have to ability to voice what matters to us. I'm aware that people have issues on the daily basis don't get me wrong but that doesn't change the fact that we still don't care enough. My personal standard doesn't matter but it only takes reading the bible to understand what standard God setts for us, one of the commands he up holds is to love your neighbour as yourself. So if you disagree with that it's not me you are disagreeing with but God. We can't love ourselves more than others. How can I possible be happy when everything is fine in my life but someone else has nothing. I realize not everyone has the resources and money but it matter what we do in our own community. Money is not the only way we can help others.

would you like the internet to be censored & policed ((by who?))

what if someone shut down CC because it has a 'conspiracy discussion' section, deciding this qualifies it as 'dark web' ?

should everything that doesn't play well with google be cut off and destroyed?

Obviously this is not the dark web or the deep web this is just the surface web. And yes I do feel like any illegal activity on all of the web should be more monitored. I'm not naive and realize that even the deep web is used by governments and will most likely not shut it down anytime soon. I truly believe that the internet is largely a spiritual battle for humans, the internet does have some good aspects but it mainly causes harm. Even just social media is highly addictive and it's another tool the devil uses. For me it's has definitely become an idol in my own life. Anyways I'm going of topic.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that the topic brings up a question about the fundamental nature of the internet, whether it should be a tightly controlled media outlet or it should be free and open.
Prosecuting crime is one thing but 'shutting down' access and preventing liberty is another.
I don't know if you are aware of what the internet is like in a place like China but the freedom we have to create and share content here is threatened in a very basic way by the kind of oversight that it would take to 'eradicate' web content that is outside of most search engine space.

Posthuman is right. You expect governments who do not know the difference between right and wrong to be capable of policing the dark web?

Although some may use the dark web for evil, I see it as a way of avoiding the evils of government. Perhaps if the governments could clean up their own evil acts and dishonesty (they could begin by repenting of their coronahoax lie and unlawfully exceeding their authority), then we might be able to trust them to police the dark web.

Remember, you can't traffic people electronically.

However most people are unware of the evil things that the government does. As long as the media and the news has this illusion that the government is for our own good, the average person will trust them. I guess I’m just hoping that everything will eventually come to light but it seems like that will only happen once Jesus comes back. As Christians prayer is therefore important when we can’t physically change anything, we can hand it over to God. I don’t like to think that there is absolutely no hope anymore and we should sit back and let it all happen, if that makes sense.

Governments never really actually shut anything down; instead, they just move it into the background and look for ways to exploit it to their advantage.

What do you think the Government is getting out of this chaos? I was truly impressed how the citizens of America stepped up in all this. They kicked ass! And all that they asked us to do is sit back and relax, They even paid everyone to do so. People here are spoiled. They are bored so now they want to express their right's now?

Where do you think the money came from? That's your money, which is going to cost you, in the future. But it won't be worthless paper or plastic then. It will be food, water, electricity, housing etc. That's why the people care. They can see what you can't see, but what you will see when it hits home in 6 months or so.

As Benjamin Franklin said, those willing to sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither.

so many are in denial:
once, not long ago, we have a neighbor who we are very close to, for decades; her husband died;
she re-married someone after her 50 plus yrs., he had been dead for 8 yrs. -and his wife of over 30 yrs.
had been dead less than a year;
they remarried and he instantly became jealous of us,
and actually came and sat down in our own home and threatened us using the 'dark web',
which we both had never even heard of. He insituated/threatened us to stay away from her...
he has since alienated her children and extended family from her and has isolated her from most
of her 'life-long' friends...
Yes, an OLD STORY: ask yourselves, why this is able to continue and WHY the 'family doesn't STEP IN'???

No, We see what you don't. The most important thing there is. People sacrificing for people.
Being selfless. This is the test that God is giving us. And you are right. this is our money. This is why I have paid more than 250,000 dollars in taxes . So that Americans in need will be taken care of. But the Federal Government. i.e. Trump does'nt feel the need to help the people. And what freedom have you lost? Your boy Trump has told his follower's over and over again feel free to go out and be you. Because most people decided (on their own). That they had better be safe than sorry. That is the freedom they are looking for and deserve. Trump is not going to force American's to do anything we feel is harm our people...

There's no sense arguing now. See you again in 6 months or so, when inflation has started to hit home, still possibly before people really start dying from poverty and 5G.

Being selfless doesn't mean being stupid. Shutting down the world doesn't help anyone except the globalists.

And how are you personally effected? I mean now, at this moment. Do you have food? a place to live?
As for me. I am out there. Making sure the less fortunate. have what they need. But I have been doing this long before this virus. How about you..
