Not really
You can worship and read your Bible at home
A church is really just a place you go and pay somebody to give you his opinion on what the Bible says

Alberta had a big Zoom conference with Premier Kenney and the chief health officer, with church leaders from the province. They explained their concerns, and the process for opening up churches over several phases. But no choirs for a long time, because they spread the virus so much.

I heard this from the pastors of the church I used to attend, so no link. But many happy pastors. Mind you, the premier is Catholic and Conservative.

This is good. What would have been better is that the Dem governors should not even have had the powers to shut down churches or businesses or anything else. Since this was a national emergency, Trump had every right and every reason to publish a proper and thorough Executive Order, covering every aspect of responding to this pandemic. Instead he allowed the governors to call the shots, and now we know that that was a huge mistake. Now he says he will override the governors if they interfere with churches.

In any event, it has now become clear that all the directives regarding lockdowns, social distancing, masks, ventilators, etc. were extremely faulty and had no impact on cases. It has also become clear that had the decision makers listened to the doctors who had actually used HCQ/arithromycin/zinc sulfate as a preventative measure, many lives could have been saved. But the media continue to attack Trump and hydroxychloroquine to prevent a recovery. And Fauci had a hidden agenda to suppress the use of HCQ so that Remdesivir would be purchased, and millions in profits would accrue to Gilead (and no doubt Fauci himself).

Well technically States are to have much of the authority to rule their state. I doubt Trump would of imagined they would take it as far as they are trying to. After all this situation is new to everyone. I support States rights. And Feds should stay out as much as necessary. The blue states are getting what they voted for. Communism.

Under Pandemics they do have rights to call for closures. But only with proper evidence and only to last within proper timing related to evidence.

Once this was obviously abused and 1st Amendment was just shredded then it forces the feds to step in like the Constitution was originally designed.

Constitutionally it was a proper response within States rights. If states abuse federal law like the 1st Amendment then that allows the feds to enforce it.

If they dont comply then martial law can be enacted to force federal compliance.

This was a NATIONAL emergency, and States rights would not apply. And now we can see what a mess that became.
Wasn't you not too long ago trying to say it was a hoax or was that someone else?

Not exactly. States have Emergency powers also. As to why Trump's Corona virus National Emergency released many different types of aid to support a States emergency response based on the States need. Not all States needed the same type of measures as a State like New York.

National Emergencies gives the President certain powers. Like 100 or so to address National Emergency. 6 or 7 belong to Congress to keep the President in check. He doesn't automatically become a dictator lol.

If that is all you think a church is, you are by far more jaded than I ever thought.

know where in the Bible are Christians instructed to be under the leadership of one pastor
I witnessed how a lot of these charlatans operate
They're very good at emotionally manipulating people to come out of their pockets

also I can't understand why people don't understand the difference between having the right to do something and the morally right thing to do.
Public gatherings during a disease outbreak are reckless and irresponsible

South Korea had the virus under control under one person infected went to Mega Church started a second wave.

Same in a few other countries, without good contact tracing abilities we can expect successive waves and people's confidence will be shattered even more and just deepen the divide... more toll on human life as well as confidence in the economy.........no confidence difficult to rebuild.

There's a meme going around on Facebook that says
Noah try to go out and swim in the flood to prove his faith, he stayed inside the ark where its safe
Imagine meeting God after dying of covid-19 and he says
Duh.. what part of social distancing did you not understand?

Wow.

Go study Sweden
I am literally baffled the outright denial of science, what has been known about viruses for years.

This is almost a troll like comment.

No. You are the one trolling here on behalf of the fakers and fraudsters who have bamboozled Trump into locking down America, with absolutely nothing to show for it.

Deaths from suicides over the lockdowns will have exceeded deaths from Wuhan virus in Australia.
Report: Suicide Rise from Lockdowns to Kill More than Coronavirus in Australia
Researchers from Sydney University’s Brain and Mind Centre forecast a 50 percent rise in the national suicide rate because of the economic and social impact of government responses to the virus, which would drive deaths to as much as ten times higher than those caused by the coronavirus itself.
https://www.breitbart.com/health/20...s-to-kill-more-than-coronavirus-in-australia/

All the emergency field hospitals remained empty and had to be shut down and disbanded for lack of patients. Those two Navy hospital ships which were RUSHED by Trump to New York and Los Angeles sat practically empty after getting there.

And all those bogus attacks on Dr. Zelenko's highly effective combination of hydroxychloroquine/arithromycin/zinc sulfate prevented hundreds of lives from being saved. Trump was savagely attacked for saying that he was taking HCQ, when it has been proven to be effective as indicated above. If zinc is omitted (which Fauci plans to do) the results will be deliberately skewed. Which should be regarded as SABOTAGE.

Christians should understand that everyone was tricked into fear and panic, when there was no need for it. Now President Trump needs the intestinal fortitude to publicly and honestly admit that he was played, and that he made some very serious mistakes in handling this Pandemic.

We have had a large uptick in the number of new cases here so we will continue outdoor and drive up services for at least the next few weeks. A couple of our members work in the midst of the new cases. Thus far they have tested negative.

The president could have declared martial law at the beginning of the crisis and giving him the authority to supercede the authority of the governors of each state in regards to restrictive measures and duration if implemented.

Untrue.
Singapore has had a second wave and has introduce harsher restrictions because they relaxed too much too soon.
Our rates in Australia have plumeted over the past 6 weeks because of the restrictions introduced and now we are starting to ease restrictions over the past couple weeks with more to come next week.
Trump is wrong, churches and places of worship are not essential.
