if that is ALL that was finished. That agrees with what I said. His suffering was finished, completed, fulfilled.
Then we are left wanting.

DorothyMae you did not answer.the cross did not benefit The Lord Jesus, did it? Jesus died on it for not for HIS benefit but for ours.
Jesus said it is finished because of the pain HE endured? I do not see that as biblical.
HIS Suffering accomplished something more than just an experience of pain. Jesus did not have to say " it is Finished" who God the Father to know what Jesus suffered. That agrees with what I said. His suffering was finished, completed, fulfilled.
so you said Jesus lost something I asked you what and you cannot tell me?I will need you to answer questions for you to
answer to yourself to help you see. It’s because if I just tell you, it will be just words. But I’ll ponder how I can best communicate what you ask of me.
When someone has lost something of value, understanding the significance of that loss requires the heart. It is not merely information. For example, if a man tells you he lost his wife, you know from being a person with deep relationships with others what that means for him.so you said Jesus lost something I asked you what and you cannot tell me?
I don’t see why Jesus cannot have expressed that His suffering was finished (for which he was glad) and that means we are left wanting. What is the connection? Every word hurt him horribly as evidenced by so few being spoken.if that is ALL that was finished.
Then we are left wanting.
what did he die for? What was the purposeI don’t see why Jesus cannot have expressed that His suffering was finished (for which he was glad) and that means we are left wanting. What is the connection? Every word hurt him horribly as evidenced by so few being spoken.
No one dies just to suffer. That makes no sense. But in any endeavor, there are different parts to be played. That one part is finished and declared to be so doesn’t mean that is all there was.what did he die for? What was the purpose
If it was just to suffer.
again, We are left wanting.
Yes it makes no senseNo one dies just to suffer. That makes no sense. But in any endeavor, there are different parts to be played. That one part is finished and declared to be so doesn’t mean that is all there was.
If a woman is suffering through childbirth or a man has to suffer through having a broken bone set with no pain killer, someone comforting them might say at the right point, “it’s finished.” That doesn’t mean there’s no baby or the bone is not going to heal. It just means their suffering great pain is finished.
Your statement about someone dieing in order to suffer makes no sense.[/quote]Yes it makes no sense
why would you say this?Sometimes we are so caught up in how we personally benefitted from Jesus’ sacrifice we forget to think about his sufferings.
Jesus suffering was finished. It seems so obvious to me I have a hard time understanding why others do not see that the suffering of Christ was finished at that point and he gave up his spirit. He was done suffering.
Because it is true. The focus is continually what Jesus did for us. How many ask what it meant to Jesus, what it cost Him? Even communion has been changed to thinking about what Jesus did for me and not thinking remembering Jesus.why would you say this?
Why do you say this? Why is Jesus- suffering being over and him saying so mean we are all under the law? What is the connection between him being glad it was over and us being under the law?If this is ALL that was finished.
we are all under law.
Which means we are all doomed.
Because we will all suffer the curse of death (spiritual)
lol.. Well I think salvation is probably the most important things we will ever recieve. And it is based on what happened on the cross.Because it is true. The focus is continually what Jesus did for us. How many ask what it meant to Jesus, what it cost Him? Even communion has been changed to thinking about what Jesus did for me and not thinking remembering Jesus.
Jesus did not die on the cross so he would benefit from the event. Is that what you wanted me to answer?DorothyMae you did not answer.
Behold the lamb of God, who takes the sin of the worldWhy do you say this? Why is Jesus- suffering being over and him saying so mean we are all under the law? What is the connection between him being glad it was over and us being under the law?
