christians act racist especially when the christians are white and making fun of another color i dont think jesus was white so they would mock him to these are not christians
You think this is the reason christians hate Obama? I do not know any Christians who are racist. Yet I only know one person who supports our current poresident, only to the point of scriptural command to give head to the leaders God has given us.,

Which makes me sad, that our country is in such a sad state that we only deserve the man we have now.

My grandparents have done the same thing. I actually went off on my grandmother for suggesting that Obama should be assassinated. She, of course, was a Bush-sheep, and supported him when he went to war in Iraq, something that you shouldn't really support if you're a peace-loving Christian. Not saying he didn't have his reasons, but for someone who is staunchly against abortion, you'd think senseless murder of children in Iraq would pull on your heart-strings. Apparently not if you're a Republican Christian first and a Christian second.

I hate to say it, but people that claim themselves to be Christian and don't act it are FAR worse than people who claim a different religion and act Christian (morals, peace, love charity, etc.) At least those people are open about who they are.

there is no reason to hate ANYONE, first off. BUT why would you hate your own president? That's idiotic and does nothing to further society. Unless my president starts rounding up Jews and putting them in camps, or starts see segregating blacks and whites, pretty sure there isn't logical reason to "hate" them.

Without any amount of sarcasm, wow. I'm actually happy you don't know any racist Christians. B/c there are MANY, MANY out there. And it's disgusting. I'm pretty sure my grandparents' pastor (they're Baptist) is anti-semite, hateful of ALL people who aren't Christian, homophobic, sexist AND racist. He's a disgusting man and he shouldn't have any right to call himself a Christian.

I would agree. Anti-semetism is still a sin, I would not want to be him!

hrm, from what i have read about Jesus, he was willing to provide free healthcare and food to people, shouldnt we as christians want the same? what political party would Jesus be a member of? he totally sounds like a socailist to me. everyone who talks about money for why things cannot be done, reveals whats in their hearts. what cost was Jesus willing to pay? did any of that have anything to do with money, or politics, or war? anyone who looks on his brother or sister with hate, is not following the teachings of Jesus. the lack of compasion people have for each other is what holds us back from being together in society. look for reasons why we are alike, not for why we are different. while there are many people in the world today doing ghastly things to each other, pray for them, ask for Jesus to forgive them. there was a time in the world where war was rampant, the christians of the world gathered together to fight back the evil being done. evil is still being done, its far more subtle than before, as horrible as it sounds more people die in abortion clinics than in the wars of the last century. why do we as christians take part in a system that is clearly no longer benificial to our beliefs? we cry out that abortion is wrong and it is, but we still pay our taxes, we still contribute to the very society that is perpetrating this evil in our very midst.

violence is never the answer, but a sit down strike seems to work pretty good each time its applied. in the end, we are living our lives in a way as to make ourselves comfortable in society, at the expense of others. exploiting people from around the world so we can have cheap shoes, and then we walk to church wearing them. asking God the whole time, why the "other side" is so corrupt. in the first world countries, we are living a life of luxury and fighting with others over how WE feel things should be done. with OUR money. money is a concept created by man to serve society, now society creates man to serve money. is it any wonder things are getting so bad in the world?

personally since becoming a born again christian i ask myself, how can i take any part in mans world and society when its so clearly corrupt with greed and exploitation. the only answer i have and i hope Jesus will forgive me for it is this. its the only way to talk to people anymore. sadly anyone i try to talk to about these things is met with anger and hostility even indifference. people no longer talk to each other to learn, they wait for their turn to speak, so they can tell me why i am wrong. you know what kills me the most about all of it? this is all going on right in the middle of the kingdom of God.

if i had any prayer for God to grant it would be this, that all of christianity, regardless of denomination, would all join together, and refuse to participate in a society that exploits the poor, kills the unborn and wars for profit. anyone who says, im just one person, what can i do? has not read about Jesus.

Jesus was crucified for our sins. why do so many christians seem to be in the business of making whips and nails.

enjoy your dinner, enjoy tonights entertainment, say your prayers asking God why this happens? sleep under a walmart bought blanket. get up, go to work, pay your taxes, borrow on credit, be comfortable as you window shop thru the world. ask for it all to be buried with you. when we stand before Jesus we will ask, why did God allow all of the bad stuff in the world to happen, he will reply, why did you allow it? all things serve God,are we?

Duewell
im starting to think i would rather starve to death, homeless on the streets, talking about Jesus, until i die from exposure. if you find me first, can you burn my clothes? i would sit there naked until i die, but THAT would offend my fellow christians. am i being to harsh?

i dont hate the man but i do hate his policies. My vote is the best way to convay my dislike of his policies. Your co-workers dont represent what is revealed in scripture nor is what they are saying a resemblance to any kind of fruit of the spirit...Ive followed and been to tea parties not all of whom are Christians..I couldnt tell you what percentage were because no one really had signs waving stating their religious beliefs or if they were Christians..There were no signs of racism or violence at the tea party i went to and i walked around the entire event and listened to each speaker.

but yeah if they are expressing hatred of the man and possible physical harm or something that is flat out unblical un christian and against Gods will and i would reject what they say as such...

I've got two

coworkers, both professed Christians, both

have stated it would be wonderful to see

Obama taken care of physicaly and with a lot

of racial slurs, it's disgusting to hear them talk.

Then I see these Tea Party movements where

they are now turning violent, a lot of tea

partiers are christians, go to church.

I haven't seen any single religious authority

come out and tell these christians to stop being

so hateful and violent.

It makes me ashamed to be a Christian when I

see Christians acting like this, and on top of

that going totally against what the early church

taught and that was love and compassion for

everyone, not just those who already have

health insurance or fat bank accounts.

Christians should not hate President

Obama, but pray for him. It seems as if

the Republicans do not get their act

together, Obama will win in 2012 and we

will have another 4 years with him as

President. We shall have to see how the

country survives this time. God is

gracious; anything is possible with God,

and no matter who is in the White House,

Christians can survive the great

tribulations to come. Maybe in 2016 there

will be a decent Republican President who

can turn the country and the U.S.

economy around and back on track to

capitalism and personal responsibility.

We shall have to wait and see. God save

us.

God bless America!

Why do so many Christians hate Obama?

Really, what I think it is is the "churches" belief about the End Times and the coming of THE Anti-Christ. Dispensationalism keeps the people in church preoccupied with looking "out there" for him instead of looking within. Antichrists are in the Church. They're everywhere in the pulpits of America. Unfortunately, because of the church's Dispensationalism, they'll never know it because they're being taught by him/them. Though I'm not saying that there AREN'T antichrists "out there," they just seem to have forgotten those inside the church. Those peddling the freewill gospel stand out most in my mind, but there are others.

For me, I don't "hate" him. I feel for him the way I'd feel for any communist. Praying for he and his administration to repent and recieve God's law and if not, that he be graciously inclined to God's people, that it go well for us.

It's not like the Republican track record has been any better lately. At least Obama is spending too much on domestic concerns, as opposed to spending it to fund wars on the other side of the world. We can only hope they have learned from their mistakes.

I've skimmed over the threads of this topic, and I'm leery of adding anything else to it because I honestly think it's a waste of time.

So I'll say this. Jesus gave very few direct commands, but of those commands I believe we should devote our whole attention. But no where does he give any inkling, any hint, any innuendo that we should be so passionate about politics or things of this world. And politics and things of government are just that--worldly. Yes, they affect other things, but they have no bearing on eternity.

The greatest command he gave was the Great Commission, to go out and preach the Kingdom. Not democracy, not the glories of America. Paul espounds on this as saying our citizenship is there, in the Kigndom of Christ, not in the worldly countries on earth that are ruled by the devil--whether Obama, Bush, Reagan or the Queen of England is in charge.

So, can we talk about more pressing things? Like Africa? Instead of buying books that spread hate and distract from the real mission at hand--salvation--can we make sure Africans have clean water? Toilets? Can we make sure North Koreans don't have to risk a bullet in the back because they're escaping to the mountains to eat grass?

Let's just focus on Christ. Jesus. Our king. In whom we have our identity and saved us from all sorts of darkness... including factions and politics. He be our king! Not Obama, not Reagan, not Palin.

There is so much more grandeur and majesty in worshiping him than whatever patriotism and politics can engender. Those things divide, worshiping Christ unites us ... and purifies us from all sorts of bad thinking.

So I've said my peace. Seek Christ, not politics.

The end.
AMEN AMEN AMEN!!

Its not about hating Obama.
The teaparty is not a bunch of racists eather.
The biggest issue is judging and saying things that are not true, simply to promote ones own adgenda.
Many are against Obama's policies, and believe he is not good for the USA.
Those that dissagree with the teaparty are saying things that are not true.
My mom often said if you want to know the person, look to whom they keep company with.
This country is based in freedom, Obama, is tearing these freedoms down.
The saddest part is the lack of truth given to the people in this country.
One has to ask? If what they promote is so good?
Then why are they so afraid of truth?
The truth is not being told. :(

In Jesus, God bless.

I don't hate Obama or even dislike him. Actually, I kinda like the guy. I think he and I could eat some BBQ, shoot some hoops and have a great ol' time. If he wasn't married, I might even date him. But I don't care for his politics and I don't think he's doing a very good job as President. Pleasant fellow or no, I'll still vote for whoever runs against him.

I'm a member of a union. Of course, the people I work with voted for the Democrat.
Secondly, I have an uncle and a brother that are members of the Tea Party and they have not witnessed any violence of any kind. Even verbal.
Thirdly, Obama says to a woman's group that he's "pro-choice" then for Right to Life people he's "pro-life". I cannot vote for any candidate who's "pro-choice".

The Bible says that if a man doesn't work, he shouldn't eat. Obama needs to help CREATE JOBS. Stopping oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico elimated thousands of jobs. Then, he tells helps South American countries dig for oil in the SAME Gulf! He says he wants the United States to be their biggest customer! More imports!

I don't mind health care for everybody, but who's to pay for it? The wealthy people create jobs. I work for a billionaire. I, too, "employ" people by paying people to do my lawncare and other things I cannot do. Raise my taxes and I cannot afford to hire people. It works that way.

I've witnessed first-hand people who are on welfare going to hospitals and clinics to be treated just to never try to pay a dime for the healthcare.

I find it amazing that so many people think the tea party is violent, just because biased media says they are. yet we see no proof. I guarantee if their was a violent protest by any tea party affiliate or member it would be all over the news. Yet we see none.

This country has bought into the propoganda machine. The socialists were masters of this type of thing. And it still works even today. It is sad that many of our nation's sons gave their lives to fight socialists governments. Yet now we are quickly becoming one. Of course if we keep going this way. Our government will go broke. And it will cause catastrophic worldwide economic disaster. But all we care about is getting our government handout.

To begin with, things are not always as they seem. In a democratic society, people must make an effort to be informed so that they can make the correct decisions at the voting booth. In our society, people have gotten lazy. They are content to read just the headlines in the newspaper, or perhaps the first paragraph, instead of going deeper into a story. This allows the mainstream media, who for the most part have a liberal agenda, the opportunity to present a biased opinion, which people are more than willing to accept as truth. This is especially true if it can be shown that we are "victims", or where political correctness is concerned, as people are afraid of being labeled "intolerant", or "hateful". These labels are then misapplied in order to keep people "in line" with their liberal policies, and to keep people from discussing rationally what they are really feeling.

It has become mainline policy for liberals to try and discredit their opponents as in some way "politically incorrect". This has become necessary, because they cannot discredit their ideas. This is common courtroom procedure where, if you cannot discredit what the witness saw, then you discredit the witness.

Many people who go to tea party rallies are angry. They are angry at a government which no longer sees the constitution as having any authority. They are angry at the fact that their savings have evaporated, and their retirement futures and the futures of their children put in jeopardy because of big government policies of taxation and wealth redistribution that have ruined our economy. They are angry at a government, which claims to want to do everything for us, leaving us with no responsibility to take care of ourselves, but is in fact unable to do anything for us, that we couldn't do better for ourselves. That is, of course, except for national defense, post offices, federal courts, and federal govenment debt, and a few other minor items, which is the only things spelled out by the constitution that they are supposed to be involved with. Being angry is not being hateful. When Jesus cleansed the temple, He was angry. Was He also hateful? This is a controlled anger, using our democratic system to change things for the better. It is not hate! In almost all cases, violence at tea party events is perpetuated by liberal intelopers, and is, in many cases planned for media purposes.

Tea party participants do not hate Obama. They hate his dialetic materialism and the arrogance and disconnectedness of his intellectual cabinet who have lost all touch with reality.

I recently attended a tea party event. In this event, we actually talked about God, and the faith we had in Him to help us to find a solution to our countries problems. We have faith in God, and our abilities to govern ourselves, as responsible citizens, not in a government, which wants to take all of our freedoms away, and rule as as they see fit, under the false guise of "providing for us".

Karl Marx once said that when a majority of the people in a capitalist society realize that they can have things provided for them, with no effort on their own (wealth redistribution), then that society is doomed to failure. In this country, almost 50% of our population now pays no federal income tax. When the number of takers exceeds the number of providers, the end is near. Of course, there is no incentive for a government party, which buys votes from that 50% in the form of entitlements, to change a policy which keeps them in power.

All Christians aren't that way. The people you talk of sound more like children of Satan.
We can not agree with the president and still love him as God wants us to and pray for him.
And keep a eye out for one bending and bowing to peoples who want us dead in the name of their evil religion.
God bless you!
