Seems John believes you can be fully assured you are saved. I agree. Not sure about this "kingdom Salvation". Personally? I could careless what some MAN believes about salvation. And John 3:16-17 Rom 10:9-10. Easy to believe.

A Christian who gossips, are they saved? What about a greedy person or someone who is a shopaholic or someone who is lazy and refuses to work? Are those people saved?

Is there a limit to which you can sin and still be saved?

If so, are there certain types of sin that a Christian can commit, while if he does others we can safely assume they are not saved?

If so, what exactly are the sins that a Christian can commit and still be called a Christian vs the ones, he is definitely not allowed to commit and still maintain that he's a Christian?

Their struggle with sin is a good sign.
It's the person who doesn't care about their sin, or who rationalizes their sin, and who gets angry and doesn't do anything about that when confronted about it, they are the ones who are showing themselves to not have a relationship with God through Christ.

Some are more serious than others.
I think there's a big difference between a person who lives as a crime boss, for example, and a person who lives in gossip. Which sins you shrink down into says a lot about a person, in my opinion. But, ultimately, all sin earns the wages of death.

It depends on whether or not these sins are being committed from unbelief and a rejection of Christ, or whether they are the sins of the struggling believer in Christ. OK so then, the only difference between a struggling believer and an unsaved is that one is in Christ, and one rejects God. Is that so?

And a third type, the one who has made some progress, but is not interested in trying to be as perfect/sinless as he can be.

I Read ‘the spirit of bondage and adoption’ sermon by John wesley, and it went some way to explaining these three types to me
