No problem. Whenever you respond is good.
I owe you a sumup of Scriptures on Judas as well, because I want to be comprehensive.
I realized this morning that you guys are probably deriving the idea about Judas' salvation from "yea, my own familiar friend.." I still do not agree this is sufficient to prove Judas was saved because of other Scriptures, but I am trying to understand the other point of view.
Happy moving
Thanks. I’d be most happy to share my view.

Strange, I was trying to extend some empathy to you here on this thread, and here you go claiming that I am joining your opponents here in attacking you. :)
Ok My apologies. I really didn’t understand your post. Please can you explain what you meant.

I cannot remember who stated in the forums , but someone claimed as a non believer that they read the bible and became a believer reading the gospels...
Then they aren’t a nonbeliever any more. My point is the warnings are mostly to believers.

According to Hebrews, he does not get crucified again for the harlot believer.

That which is born can die. Faith can die.

The Kingdom of God, the gift, has been taken away from Israel.
According to Hebrews when read properly in context, One Act of Repentance/Faith in THE One Act of the Work of God on the Cross is sufficient to save to the Uttermost!

Translation..... my faithfulness earns me my salvation.

I make and keep myself worthy.

The gift is really wages due and therefore God now is in my debt .....
For a work He already accomplished making His work of no consequence and my work more valuable than His.

Your dogma is far, far removed from the Gospel.
You don’t understand our position at all.

Think of it like a marriage. Even after 50 years of marriage some still think they need to take care that the relationship lasts. Is divorce possible at 50? Yes.

Do they read their marriage license to assure themselves they have a marriage? This is what OSAS looks like to us. You guys quote the words in black and white to assure yourselves you have a loving relationship with Jesus. I’ve simply talked to him all these decades instead.

Thank God for His warnings , teaching us about the superficial believers , the wolves in sheep's clothing , and those who twist Scripture...

Laff,

The Bible says Peter fell away. Does not say his faith was shaken. Might be so and I don’t deny it but the Bible says Peter denied knowing Jesus for the obvious reason that he didn’t want to suffer as he did. He then went out and wept bitterly because he did not respond as he had said he would. That is what it says. I prefer to stick to the Bible and not make up reasons not given. None of the others did that and Jesus didn’t say he had prayed for the others.

I don’t say he didn’t, not it’s a long shot to say he’s praying for all as he prayed for Peter. I do believe he prays for us but if He’s praying no christian falls away from the faith he is praying in vain for some as he knows that some will and he knows why. I can get you verses on this as to what he knows.

There is no scripture that says he is praying for everyone that their faith not fail. He didn’t even pray for the others but instead prayed for Peter telling HIM to then strengthen the others. If your position were true he would have said, “and I’m praying also for the others that their faith not fail.” He charged Peter to do this

Jesus prays for ALL that are His and is ABLE to save us to the uttermost.......we will NOT lose our salvation.
That’s OSAS for sure but no Bible ensures he is ensuring our faith won’t fail. We are not Peter. We have our part to play.

Regarding the martyrs, there’s a miscommunication. I’m not sure I can clarify it though. Jesus told them they needed to endure to be saved because it was very difficult and not all believers were able to do this history teaches us. If they had believed in OSAS there would have been no martyrs as Jesus’ warning to endure to the end would have been meaningless.

You don’t understand our position at all.
Are you also @Judges1318

Oh I know the ins and outs if it quite well... sadly I might add but also to my benefit.

1) By Grace are you saved
2) Through Faith Alone
3) And That NOT of Yourselves
4) Gift of God....... A gift is free already PAID for in Full
5) Not of Works

A losable salvation denies all of the above, therefore not biblical

The Blood had to be applied to the doorpost. This was a choice, not a good work.
Not sure what you are trying to convey here.

I never mentioned anything about a good word, so not sure why you mentioned this.

I asked along the lines of

The blood of Jesus can wash away or has washed away our sin?

A few posts later I responded to another poster saying that I believe our sins were washed away, the blood of Jesus on the cross was shed and washes away our sin. Then when we come to him in faith the forgiveness of sin is credited to our account.

Did you read that?

So in a sense the blood was applied to the cross which Jesus chose to do.
When Jesus died on the cross he died for the sins of the world.
He said "It is finished" Then the temple curtain was torn in two.

As a result we have access to the Father through faith.

The point of my question was to differentiate between can or has.

So for me I believe he has on the cross and as result of turning from unbelief to belief in him (which was the sin that Jesus said the Holy Spirit)

John 16:8-9
8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;

Scary theology! License to behave as you wish!
Yes lets look at your false allegation.

Justification is by faith alone

4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand [a]marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn/remove the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

It is false teachers who transpose/remove/replace the Grace of God into a license to sin.
False teachers compromise the Gospel

They want to take out Grace each and every time and argue that without the Law there be will licentiousness.

Words like yours cause people to loose faith in Gospel which is by Grace.

The Gospel is based on Grace so therefore a false teacher tries to REMOVE Grace and add in works, law and a losable salvation as always nothing new under the SUN!!!

For sure :) ...... I know she is not... funny she stated the same thing.

I guess it becomes an easy line/cop out when you cannot really support your beliefs with scripture.

Seriously it blows my mind how pervasive this doctrine has become...... very disturbing.

So obviously against Reason, Logic, Scripture and the Spiritual experience of the Holy Spirit.
