The Sephardim (Sephardic Jews) go all the way back to the Palestinian Jews at the time of Christ. They were scattered throughout the world since 70 AD. They would be a part of the twelve tribes of Israel. Even though the Ashkenazim dominated Israel since 1948, there were always Sepahardic Jews in the world. And Christ would have resembled them. "He came unto His own, and His own received Him not".
This is true. Many have renounced Yahweh over some of their tribulations. But my Great Grandmother had a written Hebrew Tanakh to which she made my Grandfather read. He converted to Christ when he became an adult. He raised his own family believing in Christ and my Father raised us believing in Christ. We were sort of Messianic Jews before it became a thing.
As for myself, I was taught from the Hebrew, but I have always Believed in Christ as God. I don't even think about the Jewish Traditions because we never kept them since we were taught they all now represent Christ. And we have always believed that Christ was God throughout the entire Bible. Like He claimed to be in Exodus 6, as the Burning Bush to Moses, He said He was the ELOHIM (GOD) of Abraham/Isaac/Jacob and Moses called Him ELOHIM (GOD). And we knew He was I AM.
So even though I did walk away and spent time in the world, when I returned and rededicated my life back to God, I dedicated my life to ELOHIM/I AM!
