*Sits in the corner eating his popcorn and watching @eternally-gratefull and @preacher4truth exchange verbal grenades*

I'm never going to catch up on these posts if you two don't stop quarreling.
As I mentioned a few posts ago, we are family here and at times have these little, albeit heated, exchanges or squabbles. I usually sit in a corner eating Crunch & Munch out of the box but in a previous post got a little carried away. Kind of funny though, but it was at the expense of another member.

Yep, one day I plan on running up to each and everyone of you in Heaven and giving you a big hug and telling you Thank You for making me a better Child of our Almighty God!

And I hope to be meeting those who think they can bypass the Holy Spirit in this Scripture:

“For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.

Sadly however, I do have some doubt!

Not sure what an OP is.

Smiles ... yeah, that's why. *giggles softly to himself*

If you wish, he can articulate to you his thoughts and you can use the thoughts you agree with as your own to me. I just ask you extract any derogatory ad hominems ;) as I don't care for them.
Still seems strange to me you and your buddies would come to a thread and have the OP on ignore... very strange.

Well here deal with these two since you asked.

Your buddy so far has not been able to step up to the plate and defend his dogma although will malign with false accusations what others believe.

mental effort. Where do you get that, I made a decision with no effort.
This is a contradiction. You cannot do something with no effort. This is the same as saying "I did something while doing nothing".

Ah, so that's how you get around the issue. Ah... gotcha ...

Re: I said:
I agree, I AM SPECIAL to God. (aside: your post was not directed to me specifically)

Qualification: I AM SPECIAL to God because of what He has done. I have done NOTHING of merit.

All sons of God are SPECIAL by definition.

But he thought all men were special, and he has no desire than anyone should perish.

that’s the point,
I see what you are saying. The foundation of you thought is "he has no desire than anyone should perish' and if that thought is God's sovereign will then your conclusions has a better foundation.

I have an explanation from my point of view, but I don't want to spend time on God's sovereign will vs. his moral will.

Although I vehemently disagree with you all over that, I do possess the maturity to give a like or agree to your posts when I do agree with what you've stated. Obviously that isn't OK with some, but it is OK with me. I'm sure it is with you as well. :)
Absolutely. :)

And this garners respect to each other; to disagree without resorting to childish behavior and hurtful language.

I have posted LIKES to some on the OSAS side, but I get nothing but red X's from most of them all day. :(

Brother, I blieve God is in control. But, your post leaves out something that knowledge doesn’t have and this is only by Holy Spirit. Discernment.
You are saying "discernment' is part of faith?

Assuming that to be the case ...
discernment is defined as the ability to judge well.

I would guess that the large a majority of people posting here have faith ... but the content of the posts lend one to conclude we don't have discernment (IMO)

Since you have seen the OSAS response, do you think I would still go to Heaven after walking away from God and serving Satan?
Absolutely not!

But thankfully you walked away from that evil thing.

I was surprised by the response you got; I figured the "you were never saved to begin with" card would have been pulled on you. That would have been a little more tolerable than out right saying you would be saved in devil worship.

You've liked a few of my posts, that means you're no longer a OSAS denier. ;)

Yes, the childish behavior needs to stop. The chumming of the waters by your adversarial tribe is juvenile. Then the name calling, insults, making it appear a person believes something they have never believed or said, and the threatening "I'm going to report you!" is all childish nonsense.

Don't have direct proof of what a person believes, then don't put it out there, it's called lying. I do have proof by the way, and I will put it out there. I've been called a liar enough about it, yet I knew this persons words and teachings all along, and no, I am definitely not lying. :)

Does not matter until the son chooses to come back.
Does not matter

he is still the son, he was never kicked out of the family. His fathers blood still flowers through his veins, he was not unborn

I was hoping you take a shot at the question ... Does God ever laugh.

Immutable, all knowing, impassible, transcendent .... just add those to the mix.

That's getting into impassibility, and I am not up to task on that subject. There are places in Scripture where God laughing is mentioned and believe it to be an anthropomorphism.

I should study that out, but right now I do not have an answer.
I thought about it for a while. It is a fun exercise IMO, though not critical.

Before I came up with my answer (not that it is necessarily correct), I posed the question to my ex-pastor. He responded with jocularity, "sure, when Jesus walked on water Peter went out to push Him in'.

My labels are not meant as an insult, but an attempt to understand and labels are a short cut to understanding at times.
Doctrines made by man are a convenient short cut to understanding truth. I grant they are fallible, but they do have much merit in my opinion and there is wisdom (not perfection or infallibility) in the opinion of many)

Anyways, I will avoid labels in the future if I can.
Can I call you a Christian even though that is a label? I guess you see my point.

Aside: I am just trying to communicate as best I can. I am a flawed person, be patient with me.
I am a person

if you talk to me as an arminian or something I am not, we go around in circles, because you can not grasp what I am trying to say looking through something I am not

thats sadly why there is so much division and misunderstanding, we hear a keyword, the light goes off and we think we know everything the other person believe.

from what I have soon, when we do that, 90 % of the time or more we are wrong

The wisest man on Earth, Solomon, wrote that Before God Created the first thing, God knew him and played with him.

What's Ironic, this proves 2 things. We are predestined, and Solomon still ended up in Hell. At one time, Solomon was Saved and all he did was for the Glory of God. And look at where he is now!
Am I reading this correctly are you stating Solomon is in hell?
