MY BIBLE reads...................... "and the spirit and the bride say come and let him that heareth say come and let him that is thirsty come and

whosoever will let him take the water of life freely"
Rev. 20

Jesus invites all...

Let us rejoice in His invitation of LOVE and not be persuaded by those who turn the gift of salvation into "denying and limiting" what God freely proclaimed and desires to give.

We know that love never owes.
AMEN TO THIS ONE RIGHT HERE

Still want to know what makes some people so irresistible to God that he chose them and banned others from his grace?

If this is true then he found some type of favor in them? And would this not have him being a respecter of persons?
Irresistible is Gods love to us. Not vice versa. Once we have tasted, we thirst to know Him more.

Many called or invited, few chosen or make choice. Then we have a variation on chosen which means favorite. Elect. But, in some scriptures uses chosen.

IMO, chosen could be one who knows from early beginnings that they were chosen by God for His purposes. Like Paul. An example of elect or favorite could be like David....a man after His own heart.

But as said...opinion.

Have you no concern for all those doomed to hell with no Chance under your theology? (Not that it is true, but I do not see how anyone with a heart can be thrilled to be choosen for no reason while believing some are just not chosen for no reason but doomed to hell.)

Another assumption......I am not arguing with you....believe what you like.

God knows my heart and that is all I need to know.

I don’t have to justify anything to you....have a good day.[/QUOTE]

Hey sis, you do understand that the one you are supporting in this thread absolutely teaches that God doomed most men to hell and that Jesus only loves the saved, and he did not die for the world etc......right? He is peddling a doctrine formulated in the 1500's by an ex-Catholic......they sound good, they sound biblical and smooth, but they are not teaching the truth.

Someone has messed up the coding tags when they quoted, and it gets carried over if nobody fixes it...
Thanks for the info. It got really messed up and hard to follow there for awhile. I didn't know what was happening. Thanks for the info.

He thinks they were never were saved to begin with
Language suggests otherwise... i.e., nobody can lose something they don't have. Salvation cannot be lost if they are not saved in the first place. Yet the premise put forth is that salvation can be lost.

Grace means he offers all..

If he only offers some. Thats not grace.. (if we get right down to it
He doesn't offer it to all, your definition is most unbiblical. He extends grace and mercy to some, others, not so much. You've declared then it's not grace unless everyone has it "offered" to them. This doesn't match Scripture. I'm glad I haven't made such a charge.

You are welcome :)

If anyone quotes a messed up post, the new post will be messed up also unless it is fixed/edited...

Editing such a post, one needs to be careful to ascertain who says what is correct.

are you serious? you really thought you came up with it on your own?
Thought I came up with it on my own? I know I came up with it on my own, it is nowhere in Scripture.

I never met anyone who thought this
I've met many, however, I don't need validation from anyone.

It usually starts with someone accidentally erasing the closing quote tag = [ /quote] <- that one

I may have done that. I will watch out for that from now on because it does make a mess of things. Once again thanks :)

It may not have been you ;) Like I said, once anyone does it, when that post is quoted, the mess is carried over unless/until fixed

Oh my, I totally missed that :(
I really don't want to see anyone banned regardless of their views and forum decorum. The exception to that would be a member who joined for the purpose of promoting Satanism and condones evil practices. You are really quick witted and often amusing. I didn't know the member very well but wish him all of Gods best.

Jesus called false teachers/doctrines vipers and other names. I must explain my position on here about how I feel about such. While I hate no human being ever, I do unequivocally despise false teachers, false doctrine, and the twisting of the Word of God. I can care about someone's soul but I will not and I do not care or love something posted which is contrary to God's Word. So no, if someone is preaching/ posting/ misquoting the Word, that I will not "love."

He and and I had quite a few set-tos over the years, but always kept giving each other another chance :D I believe his heart is in the right place, especially as it concerns our Lord :) Sometimes it seems like splitting hairs when we get down to the nuances in how we view Scripture differently, even when the overall view has a glaring discrepancy, such as what we see when one says "all" or "the world" only means the elect. Of course the most important thing is to be able to discuss our differences civilly, in keeping with loving our brothers and sisters in Christ... which can be challenging at times, to be sure.

Thank you for your kind words. You carry yourself very well in this online world, and are a wonderful role model for many :)

PS~ and where would we be without a sense of humor? Dead, no doubt ;):giggle::geek:

Agree....false doctrine is not lovable on any level......

Some false doctrine denies the power of the Gospel

......and Calvinism is the Christian walk with a ball and chain in tow.... serving a God that maybe appeals to the intellect but hardens the heart.

Do we have scripture to that God extend his grace to some? Thanks
