Hi Hjulle. Welcome! My family on my dad's side came to the US from Norway over 105 years ago. My great grandfather was going to come to the Pacific Northwest, catch some Halibut, make some money and then he and my great grandmother were planning on going back to Norway. Then WW1 happened and the boat they had come on had been shot down by a submarine. Needless to say, my great grandmother doesn't look too happy in many pictures we have of her..stuck in America. I'm not sure if they ever tried to go back later in life. I am 75% Norwegian. My grandma on my mom's side was also Norwegian. I have learned to make Lefse, but we all know to stay away from Lutefisk.
