If you use a PC to read the Bible, I extremely and highly recommend Xiphos. Very powerful tool for study and interpretation. A very large number of translations available as well. (I still carry an NIV around with me :D)

I like the way that one looks better than the one I use sometimes. e-Sword, which has a very busy interface, crowded with buttons, is also quite good once you get used to it.

Does that one have a built in strong's concordance, too?

Does this physical bible have Strong's, a concordance, and many different translations in one physical book?
 
Ah but when the global blackout happens, we will need physical scripture. Very much in agreement that a physical copy is important. That is the one I carry everywhere I go. I am not likely to whip out my laptop if i'm evangelizing.

It isn't a physical Bible, but I think there is a physical KJV version with, at minimum, some Strong's concordance numbers in it. It's without the exhaustive Aramaic, Greek, and Hebrew words with definitions. It'll still require a companion concordance, to get the full depth, so it isn't just a large overly heavy book.
 
:) nothing wrong with just software praise God. Be it on your phone or tablet. What matters is if you like it. Thanks for sharing. Gonna look at it.

Yes, true. I have a few physical Bibles of varying versions. Cannot emphasise how important it is to have a copy of the Bible that cannot simply delete off of your phone or computer. In the meantime, I think it's good to use them while they're available. On my phone You Version Bible app is good and so is the Logos Bible app. Highly recommend and they are free.

I've used this, e-sword has a copy. Marvelous.

Too many people are going to church without a physical bible, using their phones instead. Lazy culture...

You version is a good one, I can personally say. Although, I got rid of my cell phone :oops: After tomorrow, I will not likely be on the internet anymore, unless God asks me to use it.

to easy to be distracted......
I've sat behind people using their phones for following along in scripture when guess what? A text pops up and they start messing with it texting back or start playing games.......

& maybe something to take notes with?

i had a professor throw two people out of his course once because they were showing up to class with no notebook or textbook. he was very offended and said he was there to teach, not to entertain. it was rude of them not to be engaged.
if we should give Algebraic Topology that much respect shouldn't we also give Bible teaching a little effort?

but this pew Bible you only have for an hour a week and may not have the same one next week. any notes you write in the margin, lost. wouldn't it be better to have a textbook of your own that you can annotate & stick bookmarks in?

i've found i'm fairly good at remembering a passage or saying but fairly poor at remembering where it is.

my phone becomes a very useful tool to search for scripture i'm reminded of during the lecture -- then i can look it up and read its context - or at least jot down the reference to consider later.
