We already have peace with God because our Lord Jesus Christ is the prince of peace, the one who has made it available for us to be God’s habitation, belonging to the household of God, and to be joint heirs with Christ Jesus. It's his gospel, his church, and he is at peace with God, who made it available for us to be at peace with the spirit of Christ that is in us via the new birth. We already have peace with God because we are connected to the life of Christ Jesus via the spirit that is born within us at the time of our new birth.

To understand the following verses, we will need to understand that those who follow after the flesh, the human carnal thinking that comes from our five senses, will always function according to the same information that comes to those carnal senses. But they that follow after the functions of the spirit from God will function according to the things that belong to the spirit of God. The carnal mind is not set up to understand, function, or to be subject to the things concerning the spirit of God.

Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:7-9
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Like I said before, it's not how to get Christ to live within our natural, carnal, five senses thinking. The carnal mind cannot, it simply cannot, connect with Christ or please God. Have you ever noticed that so many of our churches have a very large list of different human carnal rules and regulations they try to get us to live by? Our churches today have far too many ways they keep trying to get us to redeem ourselves and obtain our own righteousness.

It almost drives me insane to hear them say they are not doing the very thing they are doing—teaching for the truth of God’s Word, the commandments of people. What is spiritual is spiritual, and what is natural is natural, and this is why Christ cannot function within our natural realm. What is spiritual cannot enter the carnal realm and then be subject to the obedience of the natural realm. But we need to come to Christ and let him live within us, as we go into his realm via our spirit from God and walk within his faith, in his love, and in his power.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Some people believe that Jesus Christ came to bring peace on between men, but He clearly stated in Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division.

The peace Jesus Christ came to bring to mankind is not peace among men, but peace with God ... :cool:

Then, those who have peace with God have peace with each other (notwithstanding our "sharpening" each other every now and again!!!).

Yes ... and then we hold His fruit out to others. As others see the Lord Jesus Christ in us, they are drawn to Him. Sometimes people think they are drawn to us, but in reality they are drawn to Him ... and when He is rejected, we sometimes think we are the one being rejected.

It is available to all who would humbly come to Him and accept His wonderful gift, but His wrath shall be poured out upon those which neglect such great Salvation.

Hebrews
2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let [them] slip.
2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];

The verse I used in that post is right here in the following...

Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Yes, indeed, peace with our Maker, but not on earth for all men.
You reminded me when I was a young man leaving my home and some JW's came up and asked me if I wanted peace on earth.
I said do I look like a fool?
No peace without the prince of peace.
They did not know how to respond to that.

Wow I wish I would have thought of that, the JW are the ones who work for their spot in heaven right?

Right.
Why call me lord lord and do not do what I say?
We are saved when we with our mouths confess his lordship over our lives.
We give ourselves to it.
But then in reality we neglect it.

It just came out.
That is usually how the spirit works as I am sure you are aware.
Honestly I feel bad for the guys daughter when I asked him how they get to heaven and he explained it to me I then asked then what about your daughter what if she cannot make it? He said he hopes she does. The poor little girl I pray with all my heart she finds the true God because the God they worship has them in a competition for a place in heaven.

Limited seating in heaven?.
What if it filled up 30 years ago?
Do you boot somebody from there slot?
What about the end when you have a bunch of martyrs are they going to boot you from your slot like you booted someone else?
I mean like who can compete with a martyr?

Cant imagine living like that.
But honestly I don't know much first hand.

It seems all who believe have had this experience, and it is a good sign of support from the Holy Spirit, yes, it is.

true.
I havent noticed too many rules and regulations in the churches Ive attended but I think some churches have unwritten rules they dont tell you about though, only after you break them do you find out. Usually its some kind of church board thing that was going on long before you started attending so the people back then who made the rules know about it but never explained it to anyone new.

I have learned in those situations though just to keep on with God and either it was a silly rule that doesnt apply to me or it was a rule that they failed to tell me about first so its on them to explain it or then enforce it.

God usually leads me out of those kinds of church politics though. Im sure if I have offended God at any point the Holy spirit will convict me. Offending people though, is a different matter.

There's also Ephesians 2:

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

...

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Not in Heaven. They believe that only 144,000 JWs will be in Heaven. The rest will be on earth.
