I think you should look up what a sacrament is. He instituted the sacraments. He said baptize and to break bread . He said forgive or retain sins. These are sacraments. Jesus told us to do those things.
Baptize, break bread .... they are ordinances not sacraments. They do not transmit grace or salvation.

when you, or anyone for that matter, creates a response that is dismissive in the manner it suggests that you saw or see more than others, that is bragging of what you consider superior knowledge

in fact, you are basically just snickering around here

for example, your notation that the poster to whom you are responding has a 'bad mental habit' suggests your 'mental habits' are the ones to employ and you do not actually address the post in response to you, but use what I would call 'word decoys' while others might suggest you are creating little rabbit trails

kindly employ some of that superior brain of yours and show us which Bible verses or what passages illustrate your words
If someone says my religion is false or a lie without any reason to believe it other than they said so, I am dealing with someone who thinks their opinion should be enough to end the discussion. Funny that you missed the greater offense.

From the guy who questions the salvation of many? You can't handle the same? Hilarious!:ROFL::LOL::ROFL:
Thats how it is with these guys often times, they are the most sensitive brittle people who love to insult others but cant take it back.
I had to see who you were responding to and of course it was the disgrace to U.S. Army with no filter on his mouth, verbal diarrhea. There is a cult of lawlessness and sin defending in that thread, its one big echo chamber, one guy was bragging about going to a casino and asking if he is still saved, and got showered with likes, oh how humble and holy. I wonder who started this cult of no fruit no repentance no holiness?

Unfortunately they live to do this on here daily.

There is no reconciling with them either, any offer gets flat out rejected. That raises a huge red flag and shows what we're dealing with here.

"Lawlessness?" Yep, it is rampant.

When persons get Antinomianism from their understanding of the gospel then they've believed in a false gospel. Matthew 7:21-23 spells that out.

Every book of the NT refutes antinomianism so you have to really explain many verses to make it fit somehow.

I take it you mean explain away many passages? Yes, they do this.

Many cannot see or admit it, but their understandings are based on cursory takes on out of context scripture, and said practice is nearly incessant. They have failed 2 Timothy 2:15, and fail to get a true exegetical understanding of texts.

I never said a thing about your religion. Maybe you have me confused with someone else.

However, you are so evasive I don't know what you believe and it seems you prefer it that way.

It seems you believe in some kind of esoteric hodge podge of different things and you are probably correct when you refer to it as 'YOUR religion'

Tis' true a gospel based solely on the grace of God challenges one's pride, self-effort, performance based salvation............... not many can

come to that place easily where they understand all sin was paid for on the cross.... and your charge of antinomianism, easy believism

etc., is really demonstrating your belief that it is law keeping that justifies a man.

So is that not disbelief in the Gospel then?

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Now if there was an irony scale I am sure this post would shatter the scale to pieces.

Context you say?

Perhaps you can explain how "world" becomes "elect" and how a person has to be "born from above" before they can believe?

I had to look at you were responding to. This post is laughable when taken in context. The one you responded to is guilty of these things

As for excusing sin. Please she where people are here excusing sin. As apposed to being humble enough to admit their sin and not hide it in the dark corner As so many religious people do

Antimonianism. Who preaches this? And why do people make up words. Is it to hard just to spell out what an individual believes

What is actually and truly offensive is denigrating, devaluing and diminishing the work of Christ Jesus by stating that HIS work is

insufficient to save as you did multiple times on the Not By Works thread.

And I am just going to tell you this outright, I tolerate a lot from people, and I myself of late have made posts more personal than I

typically do and I rarely report, but this post is truly disgraceful to malign someones' service to their country.

It was eleventh hour who posted to me that the sacraments don't confer Grace. That's calling my faith false. I may seem evasive when I'm choosing my words to avoid the triggers attached to protestant /catholic discussons. What do you feel I'm being evasive about?

What seems Hodge podge to you?

Grace is a POSITION one is placed into by faith....see Romans 5:1-2 and Ephesians 2:8-10

Romans ->The Grace wherein we now stand

Ephesians -> In the grace you are, having been saved out of faith

The same positioning of Grace that saves a man also deals with man's sin as he sins...

Where sin abounds, GRACE abounds the more. <--Written to believers.

Grace is given, sustained, provided by God.....it is not gained, maintained etc. by religious sacraments, observances, ordinances etc.....of or by any church affiliation.

And to somewhat prove this...what was it that NOAH found in God's eyes? WELL BEFORE any "church" was ever conceived.

A teaching can be false, and I did not state your faith was false.

If sacraments can confer grace that needs to be supported by scripture, can you do this?
